No Meizu M8 presentation at CeBIT Hanovre

Hi, I just registered here to inform you about the Meizu M8

I had an answer from Dan Elec (the compagny which sales Meizu Products in USA and Western Europe):

this answer is from Katia Masse

Hello,

you are well informed ... But this product will not be sale in the near future and so will be not presented at CeBIT Hanover.

Regards

So if you find the M8 in pre order on some web site (I found it !) don't order one, it is probably a Daxian X999 (also called CECT T32 or Boxu T32 or COOL M999 ....)

Sad news

----------------------------

This is a joke , If promised and promised deadlines keep getting broken it really shows how unprofessional everything is being dealt with. Meizu get your act together , If this is true then its ludicrous. Grr , I was really hoping to see the M8 at CeBIT

omfg, meizu........

they're either a bad company right now for not having Dane-Elec informed, or the entire CeBIT thing turns out to be a lie as well.

both ways, this is not giving a good impression from meizu.

If there is no working prototype of the M8 at the Cebit I'll definitely buy another (smart)phone.

Let's just wait for CeBIT, I don't believe anything except what J Wong says himself.

i would prefer if they first made the m6 bug-free before even starting to work on the m8, but some of you are probably very impatient for the m8, so i can understand that you want to see a working prototype of their new device.

I Dont believe this for a second! (no offense to toma or anyone else)

Why would anyone believe a supplier in another country, when the company themselves have already stated that they will presenting the M8 (even if its a working post-production model - sure i can dig out a link if necessary)

It would be an absolute DISASTER for Meizu if they failed to show it, both financially and professionally.

So many people have been eagerly awaiting the release of the M8 and considering the delays that have already occurred, people will only stay loyal and wait for a release for so long. The management etc at Meizu arent stupid, if they really arent gonna show the M8 at CeBIT im convinced that they would have put out some form of announcement by now (be it a press release of even a post on the Chinese forums)

Im 99% sure that the M8 will be shown at CeBIT, the only reason that it isnt 100% is the fact the J. Wong has been very quiet on the forums recently. so maybe there is a problem that isnt public knowledge and hes keeping a low profile for a while to save having to answer and questions.

Regards

Russ

Perhaps they're wrong about the m8 not being shown at CeBIT, but this shows that a global release is still far away. That person from Dane-Elec said it him/herself, i do hope that Meizu would at least let them know something if the release would be in the next months.

This hasn't been pointed out yet, but can't you interpret the e-mail as -> Dane-Elec isn't going to show the m8 at CeBIT?

Well, because Meizu has already promised to release the M8 in Q2 2007 ... and Q3 2007... and Q4 2007 ... and Q2 2008 ... and now Q3 2008 ...

I think there is more (and more honest) communication between Meizu and Dane-Elec than between Meizu and us, the prospective customers.

I'm hoping so, too, and it makes sense. On the other hand Dane-Elec has certainly more information than we do and maybe Dane-Elec already knows that there will be no working prototype at all before .. let's say Q3 2008.

let me summarize this : they have not managed to produce a working prototype (!) within one year (!) while almost stopping the work on previous products during all of the time. One may ask the humble question what they actually have been doing all the time ?

It's a pretty straightforward statement from the main distributor of Meizu products. :D

I don't mind waiting for CeBIT; the prospect of having to wait even longer after that is what's bothering me. Even if they show a prototype, nice, but how does that affect me? It's still not there for sale and that simply sucks.
