Hey, I love the M8 but I'm very impatient, I really like my meizu M6 and I can't wait til the M8 is out. But looking around online tonight, I realised that there are many other M8/iPh*ne clones. I started looking at CECT products, and was really tempted to buy one until I saw that the build quality isn't great, and there are EVEN better clones out there. So i have a few questions about the following clones:
Desay M888: A very nice clone, the features are cool (I particularly like the gamepad and GBC nes rom capability, webcam functionaliyand handwriting recognition!) But they have made the theme not exactly identical to the real iPhone, so is tehre a way to make it look better? And what is the maximum capacity you can make the memory?
EDIT: Also the M888 claims to have games with tilt function.. does that eman it has a fully functional customisable accelerometer?
I32 (HiPhone)
Very nice phone, with accelerometer, and a VERY authentic looking iPhone interface. However, is it possible to add custom java games on this, and what is the camera resolution. Also is it possible to change the theme or font? And also how much memory in GB can be put on this in total. Also, does it display album art when you play something?
T32 (windows mobile hiphone)
This one is windows mobile meaning it has, yes, it has WIFI and is more customisable but I headr the maximum storage expansion was 2gb. Is that true? Because that's ridiculous if its true.
So I would be grateful for your help. Also any reason why you recommend or would no recommend those phones, don't hesitate to say, because I am seriously thinking about getting one of these!
The most important question is about customisation for the m888 - the default interface looks ok at the menus then horrible at the other menus.Last edited by thestrangestick; 02-05-2008 at 09:03 PM.

Hi..
As far as im aware you cannot customise the menus on the M888, but im not 100% sure on that, id recommend that u have at the site below, im sure they can help you out.
DesayM888 Forums
I think the Desay can take up to 4gb memory
Also i see your comments about the build quality of CECT phones and i thought id point out the the 'HiPhone' is also a CECT ( but i wouldnt worry about the build quality as they have improved since the P168)
Also the maximum memory you can put in the phone is 2GB and it has a 2 Mega pixel Camera.
Like the Desay, i dont think u can customize the menus etc ( but i think they look sweet anyway, so why would u wanna)
As for recommendations:
remember this is just my opinion, so do as much research as u can first
Id go for the HiPhone (possibly the T32, but as u said ur impatient that rules itself out as it isnt available for a few weeks yet)
I seen some good reviews for the Desay, but i personally think it looks a lil bit cheap and nasty, plus u only get 1 battery as opposed the 2 with the CECT.
Hopes this helps a little bit
Regards
Russ

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes I'll get one if it's not too expensive.. as its windows mobile its far more cusotmisable then a iPhone. But the memory (Around 2.5, 3 gig with a microsd crad) is baaaaad. Will a firmware update increase the supported size?
Coz on eBay you can buy 8 gig micro sd cards!
8 gig micro sd = good
2 gig micro sd = micro XD

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsActually, if you look at the powerpoint thye manufacturers released, it is show with a smallish logo button of several rings. But I can't justify getting this unless it supports SDHC Micro SD cards (ie 6 oo 8 gb) because my current meizu M6 has 8 Gb! So if anyone knows if the T32 will support SDHC, please say.
