Boxu T32 or Meizu M8?
hi, I've been following the forums for quite a few years now, but haven't registered, but i ran into this problem. I've been waiting for the Meizu m8 (or m7, i rather not have the phone), but a couple days ago I saw this
I'm wondering should I get that ASAP or wait for the Meizu M8/M7 (which im pretty sure won't be released for at least another 6 months)
thanks,

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCaution: As always those pictures of that so called "Boxu T32" are just photshoped images. If you have a look on YouTube you will see that the actual phone doesn't look exactly like on the pics and it also needs a stylus to be operated properly.
This stuff usually has really poor quality. If I was you I would wait a bit and spend my money on another phone to bridge the time.
It's hard, I know...

If you want a cheap China iPhone clone, wait for the Boxu T32 or get any of the readily available options. I doubt Boxu T32 will be much (if anything) better than them.
If you on the other hand want an iPhone alternative with great sound (Meizu CEO Jack Wong said that the M8 will use a better sound chip than M6) good hardware and high quality build, the Meizu M8 might be worth getting.
Tough decisions...
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

My POV on the T32 ( with powerpoint presentation )
I would like the M8 to come out sooner.....
But ,sadly Its not gonna happen( i'll explain more below)
Ive been researching the Boxu T32 for a few weeks or so now ( talking to wholesalers and infact talking to the manufacturers themselves.
This is what if found out (including pics)
firstly, the confirmed spec's ( translated for chinese so forgive the errors):
• Development platform: TI's OMAP 850
• Operating System: Windows 6.0 mobile pocket PC
• Support 26 languages
• RF frequency: GSM / EDGE; / GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900
• LCM: TFT 3.2 "QVGA 240 x 320 resolution
• front camera of actual 3 megapixels ,behind camera of actual 2 megapixels (both CMOS high-definition cameras)
• 1Gb+512 Mb RAM (DDR) system memory
• built-in Bluetooth 1.2, support A2DP standards and the use of Bluetooth stereo headphones
• built-in GPS satellite navigation system
• Wi-Fi wireless Internet access
• Support for Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Html, enable you to do online business anywhere
• Agenda, music, photos, business cards and other information easily synchronized with the computer (ActiveSync4.5 synchronization software)
• Built-in Media Player, with PC synchronization, support up to 2G expandable storage.
• JAVA module enables you to play a superior number of video games, bluetooth enables you to play with many people
• Internet Explorer high-speed Internet, the stock market, MSN, QQ
• Stocks online, Skype, Kingsoft, network television, calls firewall, voice, calendar, a variety of third-party plug-300
• Three sensor design (Light Sensor: sense light intensity around to adjust screenbrightness etc)
• Movement sensors: When phone users hand the phone horizontally tilt automatically adjust to cross screen.
• Nearly Sensor: Sensing the phone user put the phone beside the ear, it automatically close the screen to save energy.
Now a few pics:

This phone is being manufactured by Adrian.co.ltd, China (so feel free to google it ~if you dont beleive me :P )
As far as the retail price goes:
There are many contradictions:
from $250 (us) Dollars......To £295 (GB) Pounds...
So i think u can u can judge the costings urself ,going on geographic location etc etc !
Heres an PowerPoint display, direct from the manufacturer for those that are interested......
RapidShare Webhosting + Webspace
More pics:

I certainly dont want to influence anyones judgement im just giving my educated opinion....
...personally i think that Meizu are gonna lose an enormous amount of money due to there delay (several delays infact)
Quality: Thats an issue that will be seen in the future as Meizu have never released a phone before.
Personally i think that the M8 WILL be a better quality product (sound/audio wise) and possibly video too ( with there better screen resolution )...
But i'll wait for the reviews first !!!
Release Date:
In theory, this phone should have already hit the shelves...
the T32 has been sent to several wholesalers already BUT without the GPS ( due to a few technical issues - hence the delay)
It WILL tho be released to the public after the chinese new year (End of Feb beginning of March - it would be earlier but the factories will be closed for chinese new year)

I quite agree...
The M8 has a FAR better screen resolution..
But, i must admit if im gonna watch video id rather watch it at home via my DVD player or PC, so mobile phone resolution ISN'T too much of an issue to me PERSONALLY.
i guess people will have to weigh up the options and consider price and spec..then they will come to there own conclusions
...as yet i'm still undecided
but the Boxu T32 will be out before the M8 and will be cheaper !!
Decisions, decisions..
regards

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts720x480 and the iPod 480x320 or something like that.
320x240 is kind of low, my old phone has a 2.8" 320x208 screen.
Also, the OMAP 850 is supposed to have 200 MHz according to Wikipedia. My phone has a 168 MHz CPU, also by Ti, and it is SLOW. And that with a 4 year old OS. A modern OS and that CPU? Remember the M8 is supposed to have 667 MHz. And somehow I trust Meizu more. On the other hand... it's going to be available!
Anyway... are there any reviews?Last edited by kadajawi; 02-03-2008 at 12:49 AM.

I too trust Meizu more - i just hope that the M8 lives up to expectations and the price (including delivery to here in the UK) will be reasonable.
also im curious to how the GPS will work on the M8.
but im gonna wait for a while before i make my mind up anyway - no rush..
for the time being as long as i can make/receive calls and send sms messages my 3 year old phone will suffice, for anything else i'll use my laptop or PC as i have done for the last several years
regards

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI just got myself a new "HiPhone". *haha* :D My old Nokia 6233 is barely making it anymore so I was forced to find a new phone to bridge the time to M8. I looked around a bit and after seeing the good specs but crappy quality of the T32 (just check YouTube if you don't believe me) I decided to try the new HiPhone which currently is also some kind of pre-sample iPhone copy that's spreading from southern Chinas factories to America and Europe. I'm not expecting a lot but I'm a little excited because it will be my first finger-touch-only mobile. If anyone is interested I can post a little review next week.
But I think russ is right: MEIZU is playing a dangerous game if it's going to really be a 3Q release. The cheap iPhone copies entering the market are not of a good quality yet but they have already improved and they will be in the future too. One of the problems non legit OEM clones bring with them is that they use patented techniques like multitouch which MEIZU just can't.
I really hope every day we're currently waiting is being used very effectively to make this phone an "outstanding experience". Jep agreed, i truely hate the fact that we don't know how long we have to wait for a long time now. I mean, the m8 is great and all, and i want to buy it as well, and i'm probably not the only one, but nobody can tell me when it's coming out!
Truely frustrating. CeBIT is still a month away....
And after that it's even more waiting :P I'll die :PZTE Blade
