Waiting for M8

I can't wait, when I will get my new M8 (4 Gb) , in three weeks of course:P .
My friend from china will to bring it to me, as soon as it is officially out
I promise to write my review of this gadget

I'm afraid you won't have it in three weeks... CeBIT starts in March 4, where Meizu is going to show it off for the first time, and it's not likely that they release it immediately. I guess release date will be sometime around Q2.

I'm not pessimist, i'm just being reasonable :P A meizume member wrote an email to Meizu a few days ago and they said it will be available sometime around the 3rd quarter... I also got the same answer. That's why I said that.
...Altough I too hope I'm wrong...

If the Meizu M8, will only be available in the 3rd quarter of 2008..... My wait is almost over.

I'll see what is available after the CEBIT, as much as I would love to purchase a Meizu M8, if the Apple Iphone is still the front runner, Apple unfortunately have a new customer.

I guess it's going to be like with a lot of good companies during their start-up time. At first MEIZU will loose a lot of potential customers because of the long development time but once the phone is out and gets hyped people will try to sell their "alternative choice" to get the real deal (or at least the 2nd or 3rd generation of it).

I see this coming for myself too because I will need a new phone to replace my half-bricked one asap.

Jep, estimations are scattered around Q2/Q3 atm, with a more convincing Q3 because of the e-mails from Meizu. The ironic thing is that this puts us in the same situation as in jan 2007, when the releaseperiod was also Q3 :D.

Well - there are only few good companies left - the reason: They managed to develop good NEW product. MEIZUs product will be seen as a copy of the IPhone - not a new development.

In addition, almost all people know branches like SE, NOKIA, etc. If such a branch offer almost the same product, people will wait even longer (e.g. Sept.). The risk is too high to spend money on a bad product (China is not famous for producing quality).

I promise you: MEIZU will loose totally, if

a) they will not manage to show the M8 until Juli
b) a big established branch show s.th. comparable in two weeks (Barcelona)

I dont think i could of said it better myself !!!!

Im currently using a LG - Which is a good phone but very very old.

once Meizu get thet "ass into gear" im sure there 2nd or 3rd generation 'M8's' will sell VERY VERY well, but alas, i think that their delays will cost them dearly!!

I'm sorry to break it to you, but most phones are made in China.
