Just googled this and it looks quite interesting...

However the specs look, (and the GPS does look good), I still think the M8 could offer us one better, and thats on the UI.

Although I've never used a garmin device, the Nuviphone doesnt like a spectatucualrly amazing UI, even though its based on its other Garmin OS.

But I agree..if M8 was to hit at the same time as the NuviPhone, there could be some descisons to make...

Sure, the specs are nice, but in my opinion it looks like a big plastic brick (soap dish). Here's a gallery. Also the screen sits in the body, it's gonna have a lot of dust on the outline... The plastic looks cheap, it's too big, the OS design is too simple...
Well... I rather wait for the M8

It looks very ugly, they are aimed at two different markets. Is it available in 16GB? If so, how much?

no prices available yet. It's supposed to hit the market in Q3 2008. Specs are rare (no infos for internal memory and display resolution)

If these pictures are showing the actual screen resolution, then it's something like 800 x 453(?).

Looks pretty ugly to me. I think the M8 will look better, this thing looks kinda cheap. Sometimes theres more to it than just specs. I bought a phone about a year ago which had a bargain price for the features it had (you would expect it to be double the price) but when i bought it the quality wasn't so great and i wished i had of gone for one with less features but better quality (same price).

It's on GSMArena (phone reviews and stuff) in the news section:

Let's look at the price of that thing first, it's the only reason that i'm still waiting forever for the m8.

I really want a Meizu M8. But I don't know if it will be as cool as the iphone/itouch is. If the GUI, browsing would be as good as on the iPod Touch, I would maybe buy it. Well, at the moment I am very happy with my iPod Touch, it is an amazing device imo. Even tho I hate apple, I love the iTouch.

meizu probably will miss the boat with the M8... unless they can provide it at a significant discount to the competition, there's no longer anything special about the m8...

one year ago, the specs looked extraordinary, now, they are getting to be run of the mill.

If I may, I would highly suggest the Nokia N95. Did you know that it's made in Finland?

N95? Way too thick, big and heavy. And no touchscreen.

You're kidding me, right? That thing is feature packed, so I would understand why it is thick, but heavy? No way man, it's not heavy at all. Have you ever lifted one? It fits in my pocket fine. It doesn't have to be a touchscreen to be good. If you absolutely must have a touchscreen, then the N95 is not for you.

I am getting annoyed at the people who say this. Please name a single phone with all the features that the m8 is said to have.

The N95 8GB is the coolest phone i have ever seen. i don't think i've seen a phone with more features, and it also looks very sexy.

Who cares? Maybe somebody who is thinging about getting an iPhone, or somebody who doesn't hate LG. Just cause you don't want them doesn't mean nobody else does. This phone adds to the M8s competition, and the M8 can't even compete yet because it hasn't been released yet.

The M8 doesn't have 3G so there is one (or is it going to be included now?). The M8 has a 3MPx camera and the Nokia P95 has 5MPx, the P95 offers 8GB of memory also (similair to M8), the look is pretty much a replica of the iPhone or iTouch. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS etc can be found on many other phones. No doubt the M8 has great specs (that CAN be beaten) and the price looks pretty good. Quality is a major thing for me though, we'll see the quality of the parts.

Im pretty sure the iPhone has all the specs of the M8 , Well all the basic specs atleast.

If meizu are gonna still want a marker for this phones its got to have a kickass UI , Its gonna have to be entirly reskinned so none of that windows crap is on it , Because lets face it , who actually likes the blocky grey awfull look of Windows Mobile series and Windows CE.

Look at another thread for an example:
Boxu T32 - iPhone Clone – iTech News Net | Latest Tech News, Gadget News and more...

Look at the 3rd picture of the bottom , Its blooming ugly
You dont want a gorgeous phone that as soon as its turned on is ruined by an awfull UI. This is where they really need to shine with the reskinning , Im sure the features of windows CE will cope by far , Its not a terribly basic os.
But damn the interface is gonna put me off if they havnt reskinned it well.
I do not want to see a single grey box or any crappy windows bog standard blue anywhere.

Also , Meizu , Put a radio in the device , Damn it ive said this time and time again , a radio costs what $0.10 for a tiny controller chip , but it is so usefull to have a radio. And personally id use the radio more than the music.

Yeah no other manufactures have inculded a radio so far , but is that because they have researched it , or is it just a gap in the marker?
If you ask me "And personally id use the radio more than the music."
