Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsit will only sell in China, or only can be used in China? If it compatible with T-Mobile or att in USA, I can probably let my parents bring some for me.

It will sell in China, but since it is a quad-band phone, you should be able to use it on any GSM network in the US. Please use the search function next time.

Misleading Post...
This post title is really misleading...they must be out as I bought one yesterday. I live in China and there is no Meizu store in my town. I just walked into a shop looking at mp4 players and they said, want to buy a phone and showed me an M8...Yes, its real and its in the official packaging, has serial numbers and everything. This shop got a shipment of 800 in a few days ago and are having a hard time selling them due to the price. Most people in this area, just can't afford them.
At under RMB1000, these phones are stunning...However it has no english, only Mandarin Chinese, so that would be a big drawback to any foreigner wanting to buy who speaks no Chinese.
The phones are amazing functionally and have a beautiful set-up. It works like a dream and connected to ChinaMobile straight out of the box. I've been using it for a full day for calls and messages and had no problems whatsoever so far.
I'll post pictures next time I can borrow a digital camera from a friend.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSorry, but I find that hard to believe. The price is 2380 Yuan (and fixed), there are only a few around, and the M8 definately has English as an option. I had a real M8 in my hands, and it does support English.
It seems to me that you have a fake M8. Photos would be nice.
Please make a photo of the phone displaying "MeizuMe.com Meizu M8 DanBou" (by typing an SMS for example).

12-24-2008 #71This is an amazing development. Full scale production. An unauthorized seller with excess inventory. Less than half price. All in less than 30 days since review units were sent to the media.Yes, its real and its in the official packaging, has serial numbers and everything. This shop got a shipment of 800 in a few days ago and are having a hard time selling them due to the price. Most people in this area, just can't afford them...

Even more amazing would be if you actually did have a fake M8...that would be some kind of 山寨 Olympic record for the company that made it.
We look forward to that photo; until then, be prepared for a healthy amount of skepticism.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFound three M8. Guangzhou, in the building where you arrive when you exit the Metro at Gangdong (or so... ^^) station. There is an authorized Meizu store (looked ok... lots of Meizu logos, a M3 (!) and a few M6 (including a pink one or so!) and a dock for the M6) on the first or second floor. No advertising at all for the M8, but the boxes were in a glas showcase (no unboxed M8 available). They told me that all 3 are already sold, the waiting list is about 10 days long (seems to get shorter?).
Price of course 2380 Yuan, as everywhere else. Meizu seems to be strict. Good thing, otherwise people would have to pay much, much more if they want to buy it now.

Thanked 14 Times in 10 Postswalked around in xujiahui (big market in shanghai) for about an HOUR, and i found NOTHING. not even an M3 or an M6, let alone an M8. Good thing was, when I asked around, the people there HAD heard of Meizu, but they didn't have any products. So I think the Meizu M8 is still not out (well, real ones anyway) meaning that this thread still makes sense. This may only apply to Shanghai, but Shanghai is arguably the biggest city in China and is relatively close to Zhuhai, Guangdong, Meizu Headquarters. (yes, i did my homework) So, I'm not so sure about the fact that about 3 Meizu members are claiming to have a legitemate Meizu M8 (One very dubious indeed
@ Danbou, and maybe kadajawi) If you are completely sure you have it, you may be labelled a 'tester'. It is true though about the price, I skimmed around taobao (Chinese online electronics store) And all four Meizus were 2380. Meizu is very pretty strict about the price, but that is a good thing, isn't it? We know we won't be ripped off, because I assume you could easily fake a fake. (sorry, true though)
I just want to end this, my longest ever post by saying that this IS the proverbial
NOVEL
lol

12-26-2008 #76You might have checked Meizu's website first. There are only 4 shops in Shanghai authorized to sell the M8 and none of them are in Xujiahui. The closest one is in the student center of Shanghai Jiaotong University, which actually isn't too far from Xujiahui.walked around in xujiahui (big market in shanghai) for about an HOUR, and i found NOTHING. not even an M3 or an M6, let alone an M8. Good thing was, when I asked around, the people there HAD heard of Meizu, but they didn't have any products. So I think the Meizu M8 is still not out (well, real ones anyway) meaning that this thread still makes sense.
Guaranteed if you went to one of those shops, they'd take your money and put you on the waiting list...maybe even hand you an M8 if the stars are in alignment.
Come on, people, Jack Wong is serious. Forget online sellers. Forget independent shops. Until Meizu gets their network license, until the M8 goes into full production, and/or until Jack Wong says so, THE ONLY PLACE YOU'RE GOING TO FIND AN M8 IS FROM AN AUTHORIZED MEIZU RETAILER LISTED ON MEIZU'S WEBSITE.
How hard is that?
BTW, if there's any doubt who Meizu's core fans are, notice that 3 of the 4 Shanghai shops are around or in universities: 2 around Fudan and the one above in Jiaotong. The 4th I'm not familiar with; maybe someone knows this place: 上海农工商连锁超市118广场3楼电子区 ?Last edited by chengdude; 12-26-2008 at 02:17 PM.

Thanked 14 Times in 10 Postschengdude, i live in shanghai and the jiao tong you are thinking about IS THE WRONG CAMPUS, I also don't know the fourth one, but i do know that the other are WAY in the suburbs, meaning a long metro or taxi ride. But, if I want the Meizu, I might have to go for it, wont I?

Yes, I see now, it's Minhang. So Jiaotong has a campus out there, probably for undergraduates?
I mean all the phone numbers are listed on Meizu's website; can't you call them to find out what's up with ordering and the possible wait times?

Thanked 14 Times in 10 PostsIt a technological college, but it's so far DAMN out!

I don't speak Chinese
i have to quote Red Dwarf here, the greatest comedy show ever.
That is an excellent plan Chengdude, with only two minor flaws: One, Raoul Weatherell doesn't speak Chinese; and Two, Raoul Weatherell Doesn't speak Chinese. Niw I know that is only one reason but I thought it was such a big one i mentioned it twice!

I am sorry that M8s have not been out yet.I seriously want to get one,and I know you guys too. But it may be still a long time to wait it, one week? half a month? who knows that....But it will be come out to hit stores sooner or later, someone told me around CNY...All we can do now is just waiting.
By the way, some of people in China around me have got M8s,that's a good sign.
