Meizu M8 MiniOne 8GB, THE REAL iPHONE KILLER - eBay (item 300191760377 end time Jan-28-08 01:25:19 PST)

Is this possible? The guy has 100% feedback and has other items for sale.

He does have 100% feedback, but either his account was hacked or he's just trying to scam someone out of a lot of money.

This is the response I received from him:

"Dear, it is not the first time I am selling something not yet released, I have my supplier from diffrent country as well as China, the country that produce Meizu m8, This phone is one of the hot selling phone in its country, if you are the winner, I can send the photos to your e-mail before you pay me by paypal, and if you don't receive it then you can say that I am a scammer. Thanks"

    It's a scam.

Well actually, some of the bidders appear to be real. eBay does not list the usernames on higher dollar auctions.

I detest scammers. But no problem, the buyer can just do a credit card chargeback.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

i think the chance of it being a scam is about 99%... but... on a 1% chance it's real, that means that they are available somewhere in China!

anyone from China hear any source for the Meizu M8's? Do we know anyone who works for Meizu who can confirm that these things are not available?

March is only 1.5 months away, so there is a possibility that they have already produced a bunch of them and storing them in warehouses to be delivered to distributors/wholesalers/resellers in March. A lucky few could have them in hand for demo purposes. Also, I heard the Brooklyn bridge is for sale to a limited number of well-connected individuals?

i'm kidding about the Brooklyn bridge.... :D

Already removed from eBay. Complete scam...seller had 13 feedback, all as a buyer and 4 of those were from a NARU'ed seller. Kudos to eBay for trying to stay on top of these sorts of scams, but the fact remains eBay is fraud central and one of the biggest pipelines for trading in suspect merchandise.
