i dont believe you dont feel loaded with packages in ur both pockets. jeans usually have tight pockets, and both filled with a gadget means no more space for anything else, and looks bad too. this is why i need an all in one device, an M8. i want to have only 1 pocket full.

So here is the great hope and great fear for Jack Wong. Will the M8 be so good that people trade out everything for a single device? Or is the M8 good, but not compelling enough to lure people away from multiple devices that perform as well or better?
One thing that bmob proves conclusively: Time is s l o w l y killing Meizu.Last edited by chengdude; 12-28-2008 at 11:40 AM.

Thanks alot!

Hardware and OS (Linux) sound nice, but the price doesn´t.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI'm wondering whether the iPhone Nano rumors are true or not. That might shake the market up a little bit and make things for Meizu a little harder.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAnd as far as I know those rumors might be true. There are a couple of sources claming that Apple is preparing new iPhone devices although no one know if it's the so called Nano version. In addition to that, a know case maker, Vaja, added appropriate section to their website.
It is going to have iPhone limitations, but the regular people are not gonna care about it, they just want a cheaper Apple iPhone and they don't even know about things like ogg or wolfson chips.

Thanked 29 Times in 16 Poststhe news i have read on US news sites say that there will not be a new addition to the iphone portfolio this year. only a netbook (or a bigger ipod touch or whatever) will be announced at macworld.
anyway, ppl might not care about ogg or wolson, but they could care about the lack of BT transfer or a2dp, and stuff like that.略懂

Unlike many of the devices in this thread this new device from palm is in my mind a direct competitor to the M8 >>>

It is actually the first phone I have seen in a very long time that looks genuinely interesting.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostThe Palm Pre looks amazing! I was following the press conference a couple of hours ago, and was already awed just seeing pictures and reading descriptions of how it works. Now watching the videos just made it better. This is a great device, with a beast of a CPU. And the OS is probably the best I've ever seen for a mobile device!
For a company that many thought was going down the drain, Palm really came up with a nice surprise. :-)
Now, let's see the pricing on that thing... ~550USD unlocked, like JkPwNsTeR suggested, would actually be a great price for it's taget market. Unfortunately, it would still be a little too much for me.

well it looks like the M8 will have no wifi, so this may just be the next best thing.
