Haha haha haha. That was the funniest thing i've heard in a while about audio. Drop a FLAC file on a cheapo player (that is, if it even supports it, else try a 320kbit MP3) and see how it sounds on your best pair of earphones. Now try the M6 or any other quality player you may have lying around on the same pair of earphones. Now don't come and tell me there's next to no difference.
It's like comparing a pair of 8-inch woofers hooked to a, say, 60 watt RMS amp (real power not marketing garbage) to your average computer speakers. You say a 128kbit MP3 file will sound the same on both audio rigs?
I gave the woofers example coz marketing hype is all over stuff these days, and "music power" (at 10% THD) is marketed instead of real power handling capacity, and that "music power" is usually pulled from someone's ass too.
And i actually happen to have a pair of cabinets built with 2.5 inch tweeters and 8 inch woofers. The woofers say "250W max power" on the back. The guy i bought them from said they can handle 60W RMS. And my 2x25W amp maxes them out without going to full volume. They give quite a shake to my place though, and i don't need more power, but from 250W max rated output power to 25W real handling capacity there's a loooooong way to go...
Sure, a 32 or 64kbps encoded MP3 will sound like crap no matter what you do to it, but from this to saying that the sound quality is mostly dependant on file format and encoding and that the audio equipment used has very little importance, i think you're going way too far.
Not to be 100% off the topic, one that doesn't find Nero versions 6 and up bloated and has a powerful computer (or a lot of patience
) won't find itunes bloated either.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYea your right. I used to hate iTunes on my old Celeron D system because it was so slow (and to play music took about 100% CPU :O), new C2D system is fine with iTunesNot to be 100% off the topic, one that doesn't find Nero versions 6 and up bloated and has a powerful computer (or a lot of patience

And that causes them to put more bloat in their software till it makes your C2D run slow too.

I have C2D myself, but i still have my windoze tweaked for speed, and i run XP. Vista is way too laggy. They wanted it to be smooth, well, they smoothed it out so much that it feels like lagging.
Buying a new computer just to run software that does the same work in the same amount of time as your old one, but has more eye-candy (or "bling bling" if you like), is just pointless. Hell, load your old 486 or P1 with windoze 3.1 and whatever version of word was out there at that time and install the network patch and you'll find yourself writing documents and sending emails faster than if you were working on a C2Q with vista, and with less clutter in the menus. :D
Computing power almost doubles every 3-4 years, yet software applications slow down proportionally. We're doing the same things at the same speed, just that we have more bling now. Niiiiiiice.Last edited by Th3_uN1Qu3; 01-16-2008 at 01:30 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell, the 32gb just came out today, and today is my birthday. I'm sorry MEizu, I love your product, but too many restrictions were placed upon me and I've gone with apple once more.
I shall never forget thee, oh beautiful M8
Always coming closer with each press release
but slipping further from my grasp with the next
Perhaps another day, another time if my ipod breaks,
I will be there for you.
Man I suck at poetry, but its my birthday and my parents thought it was a really cool product and I have to agree. And I wasn't able to get an M8 without having to change providers since we have Verizon.
Capacity and timeliness won my favor, sorry guys but I'll stick around to see what happens next for M8.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsEven though I wanted an M8, but I couldn't wait and got a 8 GB iphone unlocked for a very good price in November, now they got the 16GB iphone, and M8 still hasn't got a release day yet. Sorry Meizu, maybe if you have an 32 GB M8 with more improved specs, then I will consider switching.
