I want that too. I'm not gonna bother with waiting for the M8 when for all when know it might not be real. When i have the money if they havent given some real proof this phone is even being made i'm not waiting.

It's an "open-source" phone, which will be (probably) available at the end of the year.
It gives you much more functions then the iphone and its cheaper, so take a look at it...

It won't, that's way too early. You probably read a ungrounded rumor. Get your Meizu info from Meizu Me to avoid future confusion.

Renders and screens came out for it, but we never saw the game. The official sit now simply says "It's done when it's done" - for about 10 years now.

If Meizu doesn't release the M8 they will more or less die as a brand. Jack is a pretty smart guy, so that won't happen.

I diddn't say they hadn't started making it. I said that if they don't do something which shows that they have made progreass and it is actually close to it being sold soon then i'll get something else. Halo 2 was released almost a year after it was scheduled to be release and they only told us it would take like another 8 months a month before it was released. I'm just saying the same thing could happen with the M8 and i don't really wanna wait any longer than it's already been set for.

EDIT: By the way i was talkin bout Halo 2 on X-Box, i know it's a bad example but it was all i had lol.

I can understand peoples frustration and I personally don't think we will see the M8 for quite a while. Perhaps not even until june/july 2008 (although I hope not). I don't blame people for thinking of getting an iphone. I have been tempted myself. However, the main reason I will be patient for the M8's arrival is the fact that it offers the type of functionality an iphone will simply never have, as well as specifications that no cell phone on the market at this time can match especially at the price it will be. We are talking about a convergence device that is in many ways very close to an 'ideal' vision of what the iphone could have been. A video and audio powerhouse with cell phone capabilities, a large 3.4 inch screen and most importantly IT WILL BE UNRESTRICTED. This is what I have been waiting for since I started taking an interest in portable media devices. 1 Device that does it all. I believe it is very simple......no other cell phone manufacturer that uses high quality components (eg.htc, nokia, samsung, apple etc) on the planet will offer a device that is this unrestricted with this much functionality for this price. Large tech corporations hold back technology and stagger the releasing of their products so they can make more profit. Everybody knows this. The M8 Is something which is still 'ahead of it's time' as far as other manufacturers are concerned (but they are gaining fast). This is why I don't mind waiting and everyone should realise that what Meizu is offering in the M8 is something you simply cannot find anywhere else. It is like a rare gem. Almost to good to be true, that is the reason why everyone on here is so eager to get one. For something like this we must be patient, I believe it will come in 2008, there is no reason to think it won't and also a weight of evidence to suggest it will go into production reasonably soon. The most important concern for me (and what should be most important concern for everyone) is that it functions well when it is delivered.

I think i'll probably ge tthe ipod touch for it's wi-fi, music and movie and get an M8 when it comes out and sell my ipod touch.

yep same here.. i think ill go for the itouch in january if they dont come up with the m8 in ny ...

You can not buy the iphone without a contract and you can't cancel the contract so you have to pay 2000$ for the iphone!

Who cares. When do you honestly use the warranty that comes with your phone before it expires. And secondly, If you want to unlock it you've gotta know that there are risks be willing to take them. Thousands of people do it on a regular basis

Just restore it. They can't complain about that. I have Jailbroken my ipod touch which voids it but i can just restore it to factory defaults if i end up with a problem and need my warranty. The other day i accidently installed an app that is only for the iphone onto my ipod touch and it tricked it into thinking it was a phone was looking for a sim and stuff. Kept freezing, just did a restore and all is good.

BTW: yea i couldn't handle waiting anymore especially when i had the money in my hand, maybe i'll buy an m8 and sell the ipod touch when it comes out. But then again i am very satisfied with my ipod touch :D

The only way a store would receive apple certification is if they sold the AT&T contract with it. So if you want an apple certified dealer that wont sell with a contract than you have to run down to the apple store yourself and buy one there. (Or at least that how it's done in Miami)

I will be very disappointed if the iPhone 2 is released before the M8
