Meizu Mentions M8 In Company info on CES 2008 Exhibitors Directory

This is Meizu's Listing on the CES 2008 exhibitors directory:

https://myces.bdmetrics.com/Portal/V...spx?id=4183089

This does not mean it will definitely make an appearence at CES but it is good to see it mentioned on there anyway. It also means they should at very least have a booth at CES to.

On-site Specials

2008 is going to be a very interesting year for us. Among many of our goals, we plan take a big leap into the mobile phone market and release our now highly globally anticipated Meizu M8 Mini One mobile phone. This product will no doubt expose many new people to the wonderful world of Meizu.
-------------------------------

That's a very interesting piece of text here. It's heading is "On-Site" specials, so it means that they possible do intend to show the m8 on the CES.

MORE important, Meizu is listed for sure now. If they wouldn't show the M7/M8, what are they listed for?? They can't possibly stand there with some photoshop renders (rofl). It has to be intended for the M8.

I'm giving the M8 up if it doesn't show there.

looks very promising to me...

They will have a lot of attention in there for sure and could be really painful if Meizu shows a dummy display phone in there... I really don't think they will do such thing!

Plus they're mentioning that it's being anticipated globally. Another indication that they intend to distribute the phone not just in China.

i found this in a german forum
M 8 in der Distribution

vorab! interessantes forum hier!

munteres telefonieren

Advance! Interesting forum here! The M-8 was our distributors at the end of november and is not presented under the label meizu distributed. The license for the M-8 was developed by a German it-hersteller and an American investor bought up months ago, hence no information on the M-8 at meizu. Verkaufstart in china is the friday tomorrow. The forum called 499 euro, I can not confirm, converted it cost M-8 about 290 euro in the 8 gb version. It is necessary for the enduser here in the forum with a seat in germany not to buy, only on the distribution of the trade distributed. English language is the M-8 anyway is not available, it is in germany also offered no support, at least not for the M-8, perhaps for the mobile M-11 in the summer of 2008 in time for olympia in connection with a subnotebook appear . Translation:
the m8 was presented to the distributors and is not going to be saled with the name "meizu". The license for the M8 was bought by a german it-manufacturer and an american investor some months ago. This is why there arent any informations about the m8 published by meizu. It will be sold in china at friday 07.12.2007. It wont cost 499€ as mentioned in the forum but 290€ for the 8gig version. German users cant buy it, since it is sold by the distributors to the shops. The m8 does not support the german language anyway, but maybe the mobilephone m11, which will be released in summer 2008 maybe will. it will be released with a subnotebook.
Mhh someone was faster^^ But the other version isn't translated very well^^

*Zehenägelaufroll* :D

I'll try to translate it ...

The M8 was introduced to us distributers in the end of November and it will not be distributed under the name 'Meizu'. The licence of the M8 has been bought by an German IT-manufacturer and an American investor months ago, which is the reason why there aren't any information about the M8 directly from Meizu. First day of the sale will be tomorrow, Friday, in China. I can't confirm the mentioned price of 499 Euro in this forum [apparently another German forum]; the M8 with 8GB capacity will be for sale at 290 Euro. People in this forum with residence in Germany will not be able to buy it [directly]. It will only be sold to the retail market by the distributers. The M8 won't be available with German interface anyway and there won't be any support in Germany, at least for the M8 but maybe for the M11, which is a cellular phone that will hit the market together with a subnotebook in the summer of 2008 in time to the Olympics.

Happy calling

290 Euro= 424 US Dollar
499 Euro= 730 US Dollar

---> As I understand the text there is already a "M8" without any phone capabilities and there will be a "M11" with phone capabilities next summer. As I don't know the origin and the source of this text I think that this guy is not talking about the M8 as we know it but about another product and the names will be different in China and Germany/Europe.

The text is bullshit. It's from a user, who registered TODAY at the other forum. His information about himself is a joke.
He wrote that Meizu will not build the M8 at all - and the screen will be manufactured in Germany.
Another statement of him:
das in den foren viel gelabert wird ist mir auch klar, siehe for allem meinzume. dort glaubt man immer noch daran das meizu das handy rausbringt. naja, manche lernen es eben nie.
---> I know that there is a lot of bullshit posted in several forums, especially meizume. In this forum people still belive that Meizu will release this phone. Well, some people will never learn ...<---

Furthermore another member posted a link to this online shop, where you could buy the M8 --> http://www.cect24.de/epages/61466211...2Meizu%20M8%22

You'll see the old (silber body) pictures and a very professional offer like:
Lieferumfang: Handy, Akku, Adapter, Ladegerät, usw.
--->Content: Mobile phone, battery, adapter, charger, etc.<---

Nothing more to say ...
