worldwide release / reduced function?

seeing as how there is more rumour than fact about this phone, will there actually be a reduction in function for customers in Europe and North America?

if so would the limited function of the m8 be done through hardware changed or software tweaks?

also will the phone use SIM cards?

(I posted this elsewhere) would it be possible to have a page with all the most current information readily available and organized somewhat clearly for thoes who haven't been looking through this for the past couple months and have no clue what is real and what was forgotten?

I believe there will be reduction in function as to say, stuff that you cannot do outside of China (ie IM services such as QQ - popular in china).

being that im not chinese, not having chinese IM wont be a huge turnoff for me (=P). but what about things like wifi, and cell phone capabilities being compromised for exterior release, something that would completely nullify its appeal, would that be something I should be concerned about?

i just really hope its gets releaed in the uk (united kingdom)

I can tell a truth.The WIFI fuction is restricted within China now.So if the M8 release before the Government abolish the restriction,maybe we cannot find WIFI in it.But maybe the M8 sold overseas will have the WIFI.May be,may not be.

Another,it seems the RMVB will be supported by M8 certainly now.

If nothing else goes, there's still eBay.

Can't tell if there's something similar to this in the UK, but there's german companies specialized on importing asian high-tech, even if it's not officially availiable here (one of them http://www.vesat.de).

So I wouldn't worry about availiability, I'd worry about those import's UI language. :D
