News about Meizu MiniOne M8

People are talking about the new Meizu's Phone.

Somebody talks it's a copy of Apple's Phone, and others defensors, says that is another phone with another habilities and doesn't have anything similar to iPhone.

It looks that will have six versions of Meizu's Phone, they are specificated bellow:
- 4GB model, without camera
- 4GB model, with camera
- 8GB model, without camera
- 8GB model, with camera

And in a second version:
- 16GB model, with camera and 3G
- 16GB model, with camera and 3G

All phones will be running Microsoft Windows CE 6, customizated to Meizu's Phone. But reading a lot of articles, since last February when I read an article about the possible iPhone "exterminator" (and a propabale clone of iPhone), I still have questions about prices and realese around the world.

I've read an article with prices of cells without cameras. They were always cheaper than that others prices above.
Me (and the others) want to know:
- What is the real price of all models?
- Will MiniOne avaiable in another countries?
- And if MiniOne has the production only in Chine, could people export that to othes countries?

probably yeah, that's what happened with the M6 before it got released in the USA and Europe

I hope there's a English Language in the Minione's system...

I cant imagine 3G GSM modul as an add on. Because if you buy M8 no cell phone version and you will wont a mobile version later, you will have to make a hole for the video calling in it so I cant imagine service men saying : just a moment I will take my Black & Decker machine and you will have new 3G phone from your Meizu M8... :eek:

Anyway I hope there will be no problems in distribution in EU and we will be able to buy this marvelous machine around New Year...

zekrioca, if there is no English language in M8, they might as well not produce the player.

meizu must just release it without the phone hardware....

wiivader, you can find information on that in the new posts about Meizu M7 - which might replace M6SE, which is basically M8 without the phone. Sounds confusing.

If Meizu is going to lunch M8 without GSM I will buy some competiotion product. I am sorry for that, but I was looking forward it so much...
Maybe HTC Touch or something similar based on Win Mobile 6

I don't know where you guys were thinking of buying an m8 in the first place? I was always intending to import form china anyway. You must obviously be aware their are addidional cost and licenses with regards to importing devices with connectivity or broadcasting capabilities. Hence why the dane elec m6 has it's fm radio function disabled. Do you really think that the m8 is going to have large distribution outside china?........I don't think so. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity to import an m8 with full english menus and all the functionality as long as meizu get their cell phone license. Plus that article is soo old, its from march! a lot has changed since then including the spec of the m8. Until meziu officially announce the m8 the final capabilities and spec of chinese and non-chinese models are still not for certain.

Even if the Minione doesn't have an official release in USA and Europe, we can import that from China.

And thats exactly why i always read the date of each tread a I visit...

if Minione would have GSM tecnology and if it would be unblocked, We will can use that wherever we are...

but i can tell you, they are still working on the license
and i'm so d4mn sure to say, as long as wifi is included, they will never get the license

edit: there are rumors say it'll be out at october 1st 2007, i doubt it though
and J.W was kind of kidding said disable the communication function to sale as a mp4 player, and people can unlock the phone function by entering a code such as "ilovemz" lol..

That would be a good idea to get rid of the licence issue.

in East Europe there is a company that is reseller of Meizu's products (they import Meizu products and resell with their brand)

there's a thread about it somewhere.

And thats why, engadget.com has published a thread (i think it was on Monday) that contains the site I mencioned. (oh, Do you think they looked at here? I dont!

And with the cut prices in iPhones (there are 4g model that costs US$300) and the iUnlock (free open source tool to unlock iPhone), we have a big problem (Houston, we have a problem!), cause nobody knows about the release of M8...
