That would be called a DUMMY PHONE, and used by most major mobile manufacturers out there (I'm not indicating that the pics are or are not a dummy, but the "14:13" time on BOTH pics would make it seem that it is.)

It is significantly smaller than the iPhone another proof that it is NOT an iPhone "knockoff"
Just compare the two:

Don't get me wrong, I love my M6 and sought it out because I didn't want an iPod and I am seriously considering getting an M8 when my current phone needs replacing. But I don't understand everyones compulsion to continue to argue that Meizu products aren’t heavily influenced by apple products.

"Influenced" and "knockoff" are two completely different terms though, with completely different meanings!
There isn't a phone out there that isn't influenced by another one!

I've replied to this topic on here before

Compare this:
http://www.meizu.com/bbs/dispbbs.asp...&skin=0&Star=1
Where you can see the ideas of the iPhone (the only ones there was for the public prior to Apple showing it not too long ago!). You can also see the Meizu idea of what it was planing to do which was shown PRIOR to the iPhone being shown, note layout on the screen and alos such details as location of the 2nd camera etc..
..ok you say but what about the appearance of it, the design outside that is a direct rip-off, well maybe you are right, but if so not from Apple and not by Meizu, but from another wellknown brand in the mobilephone industry:
Also to support the fact that the Meizu was in fact developed simultaneously and on it's own is the fact that they are not at all the same size!

Now if you ask me I personally feel that iPhone's design was a knockoff from the Dell X50 (which has long been the leader within PDAs) released early 2005
Ironically I had never thought about it any further but the Dell Axim has FOUR SMALL BUTTONS at the button and ONE LARGER (MAIN) button, see anything familiar in that "solution"? See there is nothing new under the sun really
..and frankly its not the only one to have the same color design when you put this phone next to a dell x50./x51. it looks like it belongs to the very same "family"

"significantly smaller than the iPhone another proof that it is NOT an iPhone "knockoff""
My main point is size difference isn't proof.
Should I tripple post with pictures too??

Holy moly, how small is the M8! I thought it would be bigger! That's so sweet!!! Hope it comes out before December 30th though....
This argument of "knockoff" is quite funny. I do agree the fact that Meizu is copying Apple, no doubt about it. And I also agree to another fact brought up - everything is created under an influence of some sort, especially with the amount of products these days.
Not to stir things up, but take some human products e.g. airplane - it is created by influence from bird's flight. Does that mean it is an "knockoff" of the bird? Answer that one yourself, no correct answer but only personal opinion.
Love the M8!!!

Will since "knockoff" literally refers to a copy of something, since th size isn't the same not one or the other way, it obviously doesn't qualify as a "knockoff" already only on that.
Now if you want to see iPhone knockoffs, go to eBay and type in iPhone and search in the $200 range.

Where are the photos to prove your point?
And where are your use of the words 'unlicensed' and 'lower price'. Mr Definition?

A) Who are you talking to?
B) What pictures do you need/want?
C) What/whose point are you talking about?

A - You.
B - None, you just seem pic happy.
C - Yours.
It's ok, you don't need to reply. There are no questions here.

Well they say a picture says more than 1000 words, would you prefer a few thousand words than the pics above?
As for the word knockoff, if that's what you're talking about, just look up the definition.
