    No.

(there might be UTG, but only because you can connect a mouse and a keyboard to it this is not a proof)

" J. Wong responded with a new picture of the M8 showing that the SIM card would be located below the battery."

To my knowledge from previous experience. Li-Ion batteries get very hot when they are either

    a. left to charge for too long or
    b. left in the sun for too long.

So wont that cause the SIM card to get damaged from heat.

    a) Every charging unit nowadays won't charge the battery if it is full (I don't talk about the no-name 10 cent chargers)
    b) Everything is getting hot when lying in the sun
    c) Every mobile phone I owned had the SIM card exactly below the battery
    d) If the SIM card could get damaged by the heat the phone would get damaged, too ;-)

Thanks. The only reason I was wondering is because the phone is 1500maH as opposed to my 680 for my razr.

So you have more energy and therefore the M8 can work for a long time before you have to recharge it again. It's the amount of energy you can use, not how much energy is used at the same time!
Compare it to a 1 liter and a 2 liter water bottle: You can drink the same amount of water in the same amount of time from both bottles ... but you can drink longer from the 2 liter bottle, because there is more water in it
