I guess it's not much, but I'll take the bigger screen.

i hope it isn't ipod white. i hate the apple white. or, hopefully it is offered in black as well.

and i don't understand the 1:1 scale thingy. it makes no sense unless they give dpi specs on the image. everyone's monitors and printers are different. maybe they mean that the image is to scale. that would make more sense.

I think I probably like it on the top and bottom better because when it's on the sides your hands might block the speakers.

yes, J wong said in that link you provided, that he has chosen the design shown by madman, as the final design for M8. they are finalizing the other 'work' now.

the link you provided cannot be accessed by me. it says a google translation error of some sort. if you could provide the exact link, it would be great. but by the snippet of text you pasted, this is wat it says:

Well, If you were watching a movie, you would be tilting the phone to a horizontal direction, so the speakers will end up on top and bottom anyways.

personally i dont mind where the speakers are, as long as they are good speakers.

I have one question.

The back of the Iphone is made of aluminium. Is the back of the m8 also made of aluminium or is it just white plastic?

How big is iPhones screen?

I like the idea that the speakers are on the top and bottom (when held vertically). It makes it so when you watch videos and turn the M8 horizontal, the speakers are at the left and right.

The iPhones LCD is 3.5".

Even thou iphone's screen is bigger M8 will have a higher DPI according to it's resolution

I guess it would be difficult to expect the release this year seeing they have not finalize the exterior.

Finalizing exterior and interior is easy business. What's hard is to get the agreement and licensing done, whether it be China or across the globe.
