zoomable browser text????

Hey Everyone, I am new to this form and to meizu's products, but boy do they look amazing. I am so pscyed about the there response to the iphone. Personally I thought the coolest feature of the iphone was the browser and its ability to pull select text in the browser, pull it to zoom in on it to make the print more readable. I believe this pulling and pinching feature as it has been dubbed can also be applied to other things such as pics and I was just wondering if anyone knew if this feature was going to be included in the meizu phone. If so I am all over this. I already feel it is a superior product and if this feature is included in addition to it work in the states (shoot even if it didn't work in the states i might consider getting it just for that feature lol) then I would soooooooo finally make the move to cell phone.

as far as i know nothing is known about that yet... the M8 is still in development...

the whole pinching thing on iphone is possible because of it's multi touch touchscreen. i dun think the meizu m8 is going to be using multi touch screen... i might be wrong though... who knows (: if it is even better

I believe Apple owns the patent to the multi-touch touchscreen. Correct me if I am wrong.

Does it need the multi-touch to be able to zoom on the browser? I don't think so. I like that feature a lot tho.

Nope, according to the demo videos, the multi-touch gestures seem to be only used for picture viewing, correct me if i'm wrong.

From what i see double tap zooms to the location.

Just to clarify...I don't think multitouch is patented by Apple, because Microsoft is coming out with Surface that uses the same multitouch technology. The minione also must have the multitouch feature in order to do the whole pinching think. I think that apple does have a patent on the whole pinching thing, however I could be wrong cause the MS Surface also does a similar thing.

True, but Apple could have licensed it to Microsoft for the Surface.

Let me correct myself...Apple does have a patent on multi touch displays in handheld devices. So that means that MS is in the safe house, however meizu has to find another way to make zooming cool. If you want to look it up, check out patent application number 20060197750.
