Exclamation Meizu M8 Ever To Be Released?

Hi, I was wondering if the meizu M8 will be released before christmas, also is the cpu powerfull enough to run World Of Warcraft - or runescape (an internet based java game). Also like the iphone does anyone know if Meizu will make an agreement with a Mobile phone service provider like T Mobile so that when you buy the phone, to be able to use it you must first register with their company and pay them monthly, THANKS

No. The Meizu M8 will be ulocked, so no need to sigh any shitty contracts like with iPhone.

I don't think that there is any phone that plays wow or runescape ^^

Hmm, not sure about that one. The Dell Axim X51V had a game that was multi-player and had pretty graphics, so I think it could play Runescape, but I'm not sure if it will support it?

How can the phone be unlocked? I mean, are there text plans? How do you use the many services that the phone has? You can't just pop in a random sim card and hope that you can call people or send texts, or anything.

I think that you are the one that is silly.... Some devices that run Windows CE are known to play games like that...

what?, of course the phone can be unlocked, it means you can use pretty much any sim from any provider in it, be it contract or 'pay as you go'. a lot of phones released nowerdays are unlocked to all networks.

as the M8 probably wont be sold with any mobile subscription its probably not going to be locked
so yes... that means you can pop in any simcard can use it normally...

besides that... your local mobile phone store also sells unlocked phones... they usually just cost a lot more due to the fact they are not partially paid for my your carrier

It's not even about the processing power. It's about the code. Desktop Windows and Windows CE are different kernels for different purposes. Of course, if you can port WoW to Windows CE, by all means you can go ahead and play it.

While we are on the topic of playing games, anyone knows if the M8 has a GPU of any sort? It will be nice to have a nVidia Goforce in it.

Lol, what's the practical use of coverflow?

It's apple multipatented probably, so that's a no-no

It's nice to look at, and it's practical.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that they won't implement "some sort of" coverflow. Take a look at Songbird. That's an open source media player that looks a lot like iTunes. And its got a plug-in named AlbumApplet (see Screenshot here) that is not exactly like CoverFlow, but close enough without actually copying it. It's nice, I like it. True, it's gadgety - but ain't that what this all is about?
