I'm not sure if someone asked already, but with the iPhone, you get that nice rotating screen depending on how you hold it. I'm assuming from all the pics I've seen that it will not be rotating? Also, will the video encoding for the m8 be the same as the miniplayer? I've always had issues with having to re-encode so it plays vertically.

so far as we all know, the screen probably isnt gonna rotate, and you wont need to encode your videos like the miniplayer, because it can play alot of the formats out right now

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks : ) It might not rotate automatically, but I wonder if you can make a manual click to rotate it. What makes the iPhone so nice is the interface, and I'm wondering what Meizu will do to make theirs special as well. Doesn't have to match, of course, but I wonder if there will be their own twist, or just a standard touchscreen interface with all the trimmings.

maybe, the minione could be updated within the next 6 months, so the entire interface can become much cleaner like the iphone, but the whole thing is that the minione with have its own style added to the iphones style to make something better, and more unique

I love iPhones interface. It is what makes the iPhone so cool. I really hope that MiniOne will have such good GUI!

the minione m8 will have a good gui, but not close to the iphones in effects, unless meizu works hard

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThere's actually an app for Windows Mobile that rotates the screen image, based on the phone camera. So, even if it's not a real "feature", as Meizu M8 will run Windows Mobile, there will always be a way of doing this.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes i think that the M8 will rotate screen according to where you hold th device, from what i have heardon Meizu BBS and MeizuMe it has motion sensors and stuff like the iphone. Also take a look at this picture, the device is on its side and the mobile phon status a has been moved alongthe longer part of the phone when normally it isalong the shorter side.

h3llo , you are correct , There will be an inbuilt sensrer to determine what position the screen is in. This will also be usefull for games , as suggested as it can imitate a shaking effect.
Not only this but a light senser is included to modify the backlight according to the brightness or the surrounding lights.
Meizu are packing alot of features into this product , Has anyone heard any more news on the DVB-H tv format , It is supported in the UK but are we sure that the meizu M8 will use this feature , I see no sign of a proper external ariel and im pretty sure one would be nessasary to get a decent signal.Click the little (+/-) button next to someone to reward or punish someone

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostErr Windows CE != Windows MobileSo, even if it's not a real "feature", as Meizu M8 will run Windows Mobile, there will always be a way of doing this.
but Windows Mobile = Windows CE
but i'm not sure if Windows CE is able to use windows mobile software? Anyone?
And Windows Mobile 6 is based on WinCE 5.0
So will the old software even work if it runs?Last edited by kagnon; 07-07-2007 at 01:59 PM. Reason: Was too misleading

I hope that they add a proximity sensor in this like the iphone. It can be problematic if you go to make a call and you hang up from your face touching the screen. I have heard that this is a great annoyance about LG's Choclate Phone.
I also wonder if the minione will rotate the keyboard for text messaging so you get a sidekick kind of configuration. That's another problem the iphone has, which makes typing with 2 thumbs in such a small space hard.
