I was looking on Google for the Meizu minOne and stumbled across that link. I really hope that is not correct in the fact that it will cost $1000.Last edited by SteveMB93; 06-29-2007 at 04:30 AM.

I doubt that it will be that expensive, Meizu would be effectively pricing themselves to death. As i have heard it will cost around 280-320 Euros. However the release date has not yet been announced. That website is offering it for sale now but its not even released so I wouldn't worry too much.

i agree, but we all have to watch out on pricing since they said it would be $300 for the 4/8gb, and $400 for the 16gb, plus $195/$230 for the 4/8 gb and 16gb but without the phone or camera feature

06-30-2007 #11well you can buy the verson without the camera and activate the phone part later in the dayMeh, that sucks. Some people do want a cool phone without a camera. Cell phones camera is allways crappy.
yeah it accepts SIM cards, its a GSM phone, so it will be compatible with T-Mobile$400 for the 16GB? Wow, that's cheap. Where did you find that. For $400, I am buying it without any second thoughts. Also, it accepts SIM cards, right? Would it be compatible with T-Mobile? Thank you.
its gonna be since its a quad band gsm phoneStill to be seen if it will be compatible with any service providers outside of China. And Negrie is a scam...did this same thing for Xbox 360 and PS3.

After lots of research, the phone will be approximately $450. I saw the 16GB for 3500 yuan on the Meizu forums. Is this correct?

yeah, its been off and on between the price for the 16gb, it could be either $400 or $500

im sorry i confused u, here is what i mean.I am a little confused from the posts, as far as we know it doesn't work in the US right?? LegacyMG's post got me confused with the tmobile thing
the Meizu M8 is a GSM phone, which is a network used all around the world,
now that means if the phone can work on the 850 and 1900 networks, it
will work in the US. because the United States two main GSM wireless
providers, Cingular & T-Mobile, use those networks.
basically what im sayin is that it will work with T-mobile and Cingular ok

looks like a load of c**p to me. $988! lets not get silly you can buy an HTC advantage, an ok laptop or 2 iphones for that price. At the end of the day I trust meizu's pre-release prices much more than some dodgy site. They also claim that they will stock the nokia n99, which is only a rumour to my knowledge and has not even been announced.

Hi, I'm one of the bloggers at PMP Today. I just read a comment on one thread (it's closed now) that talks about how poor our journalistic quality is. I agree. Sometimes we just rely on rumors. But we at PMP Today are very interested in products from China. We're actually trying to get Meizu to give us a hands-on of the M8. In one post we described the M8 as better than the iPhone, that should tell you much about our intentions. Anyway, we try to write carefully and differentiate rumor from real news. We also welcome suggestions.

Thanks for handling this in a professional manner.
- The Q4 2007 / early 2008 release date has been around ever since the M8 was announced.
- The email didn't contain any new information and is the standard answer for questions regarding M8 release date from Ramon or Ella.
- Negri Electronics is definitely not a reputable source of information.
If not, I'll try and fix the situation. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!
