Please include this in the M8
Hi Meizu,
I discovered you after looking at Archos MP3 Players
I couldn't believe at the development you have made with the Meizu M8 and I wanted to ask you if you could include this for your M8 because I find it a great idea to help me and the other Meizu consumers. I'll give you a list from most important to least:- Compatability with DIVX and XVID
- TV Out so you can watch movies on TV
- A dock like the Archos DVR dock if possible so you can connect a Hard drive to the dock and watch movies and navigate the hard drive on the tv
- A multitouch screen like the iPhone one (not sure if you already planned this one)
I would greatly appreciate if you do this especially viewing the DIVX and XVID. Will the M8 be able to be flipped horizontally and be able to watch movies? And will this phone work within Australia?
I am going to definately look forward to your progression and wish you good luck.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts1. divx and xvid is already compatible with M6, i dont see why it isnt in the M8. plus it is already listed under the specifications.
2. this is also stated in the specifications. tv out is included.
3. dont know how the M8 will connect, but i am pretty sure it is going to be just a usb link. no docks i dont think.
4. .... if you even BOTHERED to look up the M8, this is the FIRST FEATURE that is listed... ( i mean touchscreen)
i suggest you do research and list things that ARENT INCLUDE ALREADY in your post. it isaid that the m8 will be released differently in different parts of the world. only china has mobile capabilities, but i do not see why they would hinder this capability in other countries.

yes the uk uses the same gsm frquencies as china: 900 MHz or 1800 MHz bands. ( So in theory it should work). Personally I'm not sure if the mobile capabilities will definitely be stripped for releases outside china, this was mentioned a while back but i'm not sure if the source of the information was mr. wong himself or someone else. The specs of the machine have also changed since then so who knows. Besides meizu's distribution is so limited outside china that importing is really the only option i'm thinking. I'm in the uk too but have never even seen an 8gb m6 for sale let alone an m3 in either a shop or online.

If you check out the demo of the iphone it has a multitouch feature where you can expand pictures and online maps by using two fingures.
I don't mind if it's not included for the meizu, I still would buy the M8 if it's compatible with Australia. BTW what kind of interface will the M8 use for music?
Another suggestion for the engraving on the back of the logo, use a big 'm' logo like the apple design at the back. Makes it look more like a genuine and expensive product.Last edited by molom; 06-13-2007 at 03:34 AM.
