Slightly confused by all this. So there was originally a test model that shipped with quad-band and WiFi, then the actual production FE model came out without WiFi, which could be enabled by a hack, then the SE model came out. Correct? Are there different SE models as well? I'm looking online for a digitizer but I'm coming up with "M8 SE (1nd)", "M8 SE (2nd)", etc. I'm assuming "1nd' is a typo and actually means "first", but I see "1nd" being used around here as well. So is the digitizer for the SE (1nd) actually for the FE? Or do I have to get a FE digitizer? Thanks!

If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

M8FE (with blue sticker): no WLAN
M8SE: WLAN, no music button
M8RE: M8SE or M8FE refurbished
afaik there are at least 2 versions of M8SE that differ in screen
