In Steve Jobs' Own Words

Earlier today I sent an email to Steve Jobs (not expecting a reply) asking why he was taking such strong action against Meizu. Very soon after i sent the email i got a reply from steve jobs himself. It was very short and brief but it said, "Because they stole our ideas and intellectual property."



What do you guys think about what he has said?

What did you more specifically ask him?

typical Jobs answer and that this is the reason was expectable before...

My email to him was:

"I have heard that you are taking action against the Chinese electronics manufacture Meizu and you have successfully managed to stop the manufacture of the Meizu M8. I would like to know why your company has decided to take action against Meizu when there are many phones out there which are designed to be clones of your iPhone. I am quite fond of the Meizu M8 and your iPhone, i own an M8 and an iPhone 3GS but i do not see many purposely placed similarities on the M8."

When the Google moved to Hong Kong ,I feel very sad ,I love Google,just like I love Apple several days ago,they all made a lot of exciting products to us,but now ,I hate Apple ,Jobs is really a stingy man ,I already have some apple products ,and I am very fond of them, but from now on,I will never buy any apple products again ,because I love MEIZU,and forget to tell you ,I am from China.
In other words,It shows MEIZU become more and more strong ,it has enough influence to make Jobs to take action,and this is the only thing I am glad with this.

I don´t how the right words about this. All this about Meizu is like a bad dream...

This spells disaster for Apple and I think its like a cat scratching in a last apttempt to save itself.

Apple better watch out... because while from their view they are trying to establish a monopoly, from the view of the public, they are fucking with our choices as consumers.
I think they made a big mistake in doing things this way...

STOP BUYING APPLE... my most emotional reason to boycott a company's product line? Because they fucked with my choices.

APPLE..... ur so going down! With these decisions against Meizu and HTC... its gonna backfire on you and ur already plumeting popularity[not only in the States, but worldwide], is going to keep going down!

Screw you Steve Jobs and ur ignorant business methods for fucking with my choice as a consumer.

Fun stealing IP is illegal but I've never heart about stealing ideas being illegal. Patents are. Not ideas.

What if we identified a petition? it would be effective? should it mean?

Let´s begin new thread with published Jobs e-mail and spam him with or opions and OUR IDEAS!

I knew it!
Every school and university is a illegal copy shag!
All the ideas that are copied, modifyed, traded without permission of the original thinker.

On the other hand,
Meizu would not have agreed to stop manufacturing the M8 if there would have been no substantial claim. (that is if Meizu did not want to stop production anyways to make room for the M9)

I realy hope Meizu gets out of this in one piece or even in a strengthened position...

i don't know if it's just me , but i still cant see any similarities between the iphone and the M8 ... not the hardware nor the software ! if anything ... those samsung android devices look much much more of a copy to the iphone ...
i don't really get it ... technically the M8 is nothing like the iphone , it has better speakers better screen better build and nicer/smaller design , not to mention that it doesn't have the same coloring either .
on the software side and UI ... its not Meizu's problem ..its the company that designed the UI (the same one designing the m9's one) and it's a windows CE AND it looks much different than iOS while it looks much more like an android OS with the widgets and shortcuts and task managing etc....
i can't see how steve could actually stop them :S
