Yes, I tried to upgrade the BIOS. So again: Do not install any BIOS upgrades!

My meizu is FE, i can't help you =/
It's not your fault you can't help me. Meizu uses these BIOS files only internally. So I must send it to Meizu for service

Ask Yunfan for help. He contacted Meizu for me as well. But please make a video or such. I don't really understand what you mean.

So one option left next to shipping it back; dumping a rom over jtag...

Our wiki says this is the SE jtag:
So this are the JTAG pins? Or am I wrong?

You are right, the 4 pins in the middle are supposed to be a serial out for the baseband.

So if you can manage to get some one who has a jtag cable it might be that you will be able to flash it all over to solve this issue.

normally a jtag is compatible with nearly everything, except a few minor excpetions

If you would like to try it, you´d better mail this guys for this article to see if it would be compatible with m8´s soc s3c6410 :-)

Anyhow, hondaracer, you might want to try my advise in the other thread to find out the serial pinout using a voltmeter, you might be able to try r3wdy´s fix ? (and it´s not that hard to test)

Sorry for not updating this thread. I've send a mail to my retailer but after a negative and offending replay, I've send a mail to Meizu.

OK, I've send it to Meizu. It costed me €5,70 (Shipping) and €0,25 (Envelope) so far. Now hope Meizu doesn't inquire too much expenses. I've only send my M8 and battery cover.

Nope, it doesn't work anyway. If they 'lose' or should I say 'steal' my package, what are they going to do with a phone that doesn't work
