How to replace the touchscreen!

thanks to bender57 my meizu m8 fe is now back on track. he sold me one digitizer that do the trick on my meizu m8. i just replaced the digitizer successfully.
heres the proof..

i did send my M8 back to Meizu for repair. Got it back and it's working fine again. Before sending it back i replaced the replacement touchscreen back to original. So if somebody want's to try, the touchscreen is for sale so let me know.

today the replaced digitizer started to fail..
so there is no more hope for my old meizu m8..i give up on this phone
i just received a new battery..damn..duhh

Earlier in this thread I posted a message about replacing the touch screen on my first edition M8 and discovering that it was faulty. The ebay seller did not offer to replace it so many months later I sent the phone to Meizu for repair. Here is the bill they sent me for the repair. As you can see the cost of replacing the screen/digitizer is less than the cost of buying a new screen from ebay or some China mobile company and installing it yourself.

1) Repair and material: US$56
2) DHL fee: US$35.5
3) Insurance: US$13(2% of invoice value, minimum US$13)
4) Paypal and banking fee: US$7
---------------------------------
Total: US$111.5

I hope that this convinces people that it is not worth the hassle of replacing the screen of your Meizu when the factory repair service is so inexpensive. If you do go ahead and attempt the repair yourself you may do what I did and damage the case attempting to open it. Also if the speaker is not included with the screen/digitizer it is easy to sever the delicate wires connecting it when moving the speaker from the old screen/digitizer. if your digitzer dsnt come with a speaker, you can buy one an iphone one off ebay for a few pounds,and its completely compatible.

Well, my M8's touchscreen died a few months ago and I didn't bother since I have an htc desire.
But I finally ordered a new touchscreen + speaker for it. I am hoping to use it as a music player since the music quality is really good.
