Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsWifi problem
Hi,
Today, I finally got my M8 first ed. back to me after sening it to the meizu factory.
I tried everything and everything was working, until... I tried to use my wifi:
I activated it, put my code when asked to connect to my router and the wifi symbol appeard next to the batery...
It launched operameizu and then I receive a network failure and this message:
Windows CE Networking
DHCP was unable to obtainan IP address. If the netcard is removable, then you can remove/reinsert it to have DHCP make another attempt to obtain an IP address for it. Otherwise, you can statically assign an address.
I went to the setting of my ntwork and tried with and without static ip, and when it's off, the numbers in ip submask, won't change.
I deleted every networks, rebooted and I still have the same message...
Any idea? thanks in advance.
I just hope, they didn't messed up with it in china, because it cost me more that 100$ to have it fixed and now I have this new problem...

first of all, try to connect with dhcp to a friend's network, so you can be sure it's not your router causing the problems (mac filter enabled ?).

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsOk, I will try this, but something strange happened. I tried another time, before turning on my notebook, and what I saw is that the ip adress was show correctly, but then when I tried opera, bing, same error and the ip numbers were back to 0.0.0.0...
Now, I couldn't reproduce the experiment.
Any idea? Weird.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsI hate that to.
This is what i do:
'Delete' (you see it below if you go the the screen with the ip 0.0.0.0)
'Forget all Networks'
Retype the wpa/wep key for access to the router.Ben je Nederlands?

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsThanks LVL for passing by. I had done that already, type the code logged in and launched opera:
"No network connection. Check setting!"
I check them, full of 0.0.0.0 and DNS 8.8.8.8

Install the latest firmware, please.
I think you problem should be solved by this.
If it is not, something might be wrong with your router.Ben je Nederlands?

I don't think ad-hoc network is supported. You'll have to setup your pc wlan as an access point. If your wlan driver does not support that, you'll have to get yourself a hardware wlan router (there a nice ones from TP-Link for under 50 bucks).
