Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsHello
I don't know about the Milestone, but I can tell you some things about the M8. The most important thing probably is to know that the M8 software can be frustrating. You should be willing to live with trial&error, e.g it might well be that synchronizing won't work perfectly or that you have to try out a bit in order to get the correct internet settings.
But: this does not mean the M8 is a bad phone, not at all. I am still amazed at how smoothly it actually works, it does all the things I need it to do for me, and it does them perfectly. The audio player is just amazing, phone quality is excellent (better than my Nokia and Samsung phones), the touchscreen handling is very good, the handling in general is very good. Almost every day there are new programs to use and the user community is growing. Also they are developping Android for the M8 and in some (not so) distant future we might even use dual-boot on the M8.
You just have to keep in mind that the phone is not an international phone (yet). This means, if it breaks, you have to send it back to China. Also, the software is usually in Chinese and English, German translations are not always availabe, whereas the Milestone probably is a fully localized product with European support. For example: my touchscreen doesn't work anymore, so I had to send the device back to China for repair and now I have to wait about a month or more to get it back.
But for the money you will get a really good phone. I don't regret buying it, seriously!

Thanked 24 Times in 15 PostsPhysical-keyboard and slide-up display always mean there is something that can break apart...
I honestly dont like slide-phones... especially like the G1 or the Milestone, they both look ugly once slided up and are a bit too clumsy.
The M8 has a properly functional virtual-keyboard, which works also great due to the fast responding, high resolution (720x480) multi-touchscreen.
The only "downside" is the not fully working software (not yet fw 1.0) ... but then again its just as "buggy" as my old Nokia/Motorolla phones and just as stable as them aswell.
Honestly, its up to your needs... if you need a low-price-high-value phone then go for the M8, cause with its 667MHZ, Wolfson-AudioChip, MultiTouch, 720x480 screen, Wifi/Bluetooth and many more its still unbeaten in its price-class (around 200euro now).

Thanked 26 Times in 18 PostsLooks like the Motorola costs about twice as much...
Still, If you have the money or aren't very much a tech/troubleshooting person then I would go the Moto.

So I have about 320 euros. I saw a listing on eBay for 279.99 for the M8.
Here's the link:

Back again to the M8 and the milestone. which of them are best suited for the internet and watching for videos .

I´ve seen the Meizu at around 200euro... 279 for the FE (first edition) is a bit too high imho.. M8 just had a price-drop and for 280euro you should already get a M8-SE (second edition), which is much better...
M8 with additionally downloaded software is quite good for watching videos via youtube etc, but that needs YOU to take yourself the time to download and set up the right software...
Oh and since your from germany (at least judging by your ebay search^^) here´s a review on the Milestone:

Dude! Buy the Meizu M8SE at a store which I can't tell the name of... 8GB For 319$ (235)! Then you have like 85 left!

Then you have the Meizu M8SE... And then when Android is fully ported, functional and also a official, bugless Meizu M8 firmware is out... Wow... How sweet wouldn't that be?!?!?

Here are some specs of them both:
Motorola: 480 x 854 pixels, 3.7 inches
Meizu: 480 x 740 pixels, 3.4 inches
Both have Multitouch, accelerometer, 256mb RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth.
Motorola: 5 Megapixel Autofocus Camera, flash+Geo-tagging
Meizu: 3.2 Megapixel Autofocus.
Motorola: 600 Mhz Processor.
Meizu: 667 Mhz Processor.
Meizu has 8-16gb internal storage. Motorola has 133mb.
Motorola has GPS.
The Motorola weights 165 gram.
The Meizu weights 118 gram.
Motorola around 480 euros.
Meizu around 235 euros.
Both are very good. Better and cheaper than that horrible iPhone...
