Is there a limitation of the amount of SMS the M8 can store?

I wanted to read an older SMS i got, but i was not able to find it. Then i checked my other contacts. Non of them have more then 50 SMS stored.. Really bad..
Can someone confirm this?
Am on 0.9.3.18

One person has written here somewhere that he has full memory of sms and was angry that the number of his saved sms were 1000 so I don´t think that is 50 per contact.....maybe it is some kind barrier of FW that are you using....try 0.9.3.9 or new UI 0.9.6.9

Am on 0.9.3.18 Last FW with old UI.
Found the solution! Under options you can choose how many SMS are displayed. So, everything is fine. It was just a matter of (non) knowledge..

Haha sorry I forgot this option! I just setted it up only once and last time haha
