Hey guys im going to get one of these m8`s hopefully but was wondering
1. theres a guy on ebay selling them for £200 which is cheapest i have seen but he is saying they are the new M8 RE, the new version of M8 with enhanced signal strength, WLAN capabilities
i thought the RE version was the 1st version of the phone that had alot of problems
am i right in thinking that?
or would this phone be ok for me to get?
2. i will only be getting the 8gb version which is prob enough for me but does this phone let u use memory cards for extra storage if you need it as i have looked at the specs and cant see any mention of a memory card slot.
3. when you set a mp3 as a ring tone or text mssage tone does it only play a small part of the song or can it play all of the song for aslong as the person is ringing and if it a text can it play all of the song?
and last one
4. i saw on youtube a video of a guy who had really good video clip (think ice age and others) as background wallpaper is it possible to use any video clip as a moving background
so can i say choose a clip of my fav show etc and use it as moving background
and can i use this ok in the UK im on O2
hope you guys can help me
many thanks

The only problem I had with my M8 FE was screen, this problem is solved in RE, but I suggest you to get SE. If you need contacts of my supplier I can give them also

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsare you sure the RE means refurbished just he is selling them as brand new, also i searched a website that sells them and they have the RE version but no mention of it being a refurbished phone :S
the £200 is actually the cheapest m8 i have seen so far and cant afford to pay anymore thats why i got that one
i have read his feedback and he has sold some before and been good comments left.
so why shouldnt i get the RE one he is selling? what is the main difference

Yes, it is alright. Since he has already imported them into UK, you will face no additional customs fees.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 2 Times in 2 Posts1. RE is a old Meizu M8 witch is covered with a new Skin.. Often Test Devices are send back to Meizu where the Covers are changed and selled again as RE Version..
2. There is no possibility to use any kind of memory card.. Only the build in 8GB or 16GB..

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsCleo2525,
as others mentionned & like you can read in the faq´s the REfurbished ones are working fine but are no new devices (except cover, boxing, few spare parts to repair broken ones,..), the Second Edition is brand new and contain other/newer hardware without any real issue´s till now.
But it is hard to say what this guy sells, it adverts with pictures of white & black devices, pictures from SE & RE (music button on the right side is the key to recognize this)but on the otherhand he mentions himself RE.
Most SE & RE users have few complaints, so just go for this device :-)
Personally i think the price is fair (199 pound/228€); not needing to pay any custom fee is just perfect...

Thanked 72 Times in 49 PostsI payed for customs only about 20$, because supplier have written that its value is only 50$... Normal for Chinese phones. So at all for my 8Gb FE was 340$ and now for SE payed around 320$

refurbished means used, thats right! Like the other said. just the shells are new and and unit is tested vai meizu if everything is working well. So it's not new, but it looks new and it feels new. and it's cheaper!
The thing I make my mind about is the thing evow04 mentioned. He is talking shit about enhanced signal strength that only the M8SE has, confusing fake photos....
If he sold a couple ofM8RE and they are all happy with it, I would give it a try! If there are only two or three buyers it can be fake made. You have no option, if you can't afford any better ones.
Good thing is, there is no more cost to VAT or TAX! 199pounds is fair for me.
Give us a report if your're buying it!
For german customers it would be a nice offer to, cause they are paying no added tax too!MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL
