Can someone please tell me the main difference between these two models?
I´ve been comparing the specifications but I cant figure it out.

the SE is the second hardware edition. It´s a brand new (never used) phone...
the RE is a refurbished one...what means...the hardware is "slightly" used and the cover is new!get a Nexus and be happy...

Is the RE a used SE or a used normal M8?

...there is a "Google Custom Search" in the upper right corner of your screen...if you enter "refurbished" and hit the "Go" you´ll find:
Meizu starts selling refurbished M8
get a Nexus and be happy...

Thanked 50 Times in 30 Postsccampbel, yes, there is a difference, for example the SE does not have a music button and it has a different sound chip. For more details use the search function, this topic has been discussed many times.

So even though that the Meizu M8RE are the first edition, Meizu changes the cover and updates the hardware to make it as good as the SE?

Thanked 50 Times in 30 Posts@alhol: I don't think so. AFAIK the use a different motherboard-thingy in the SE, so Meizu would have to exchange the interior and the exterior part of the phone - it is easier to give you just a new SE instead of remodelling the whole M8 first edition.

Thanked 32 Times in 15 PostsActually I bought the RE version for 3 month ago and haven't had any problems at all. Its a lot cheaper its looks nicer then SE verssion and I have the play button that I use alot.
There have been rumors that some of the RE out there have SIM and TouchScreen problems. So be cautious

:O
So... They are different to each other? M8 isn't like M8RE, M8RE isn't like M8SE and M8SE isn't like M8?
M8 doesen't have WiFi? + M8RE has WiFi? + M8SE has WiFi?
=
Three different phones? And why is the M8SE cheaper than the regular M8?

haha, this makes me more confused than when I first pop the question :D
Think I´ll go with the M8RE, cheeper and seams to work just fine
