I changed the key and when you open Video then it asks for username and password. Problem becomes that no keyboard appears.
I'll figure it out when I get back from school tonight

Well. We are getting somewhere. Currently doing a complete refresh with an hour and a half remaining...
Hopefully it will all work without lagging etc. We will see in an hour and a half then!
Edit: Scrap that. 3 hours, 10 minutes.
Edit2: Scrap that. 4 hours... For about 115gb of TV shows.
Edit3: Having some trouble on the refreshing. Seems to freeze up a bit.
Edit4: Restarted the phone, restarted the refresh and now its moving along nicely. Should be done in 2hrs approx (but you cant really trust that).
Edit5: Crashed scanning files, deleted file it crashes on. Also: Complete refresh = 2 hours. Fast refresh = 2 minutes. Take your pick.Last edited by block58; 02-05-2010 at 06:36 AM.

It doesn't work...
While it scans all the files and all the folders on the root of the scanned drive, only the folders appear and there are no files.
This is for videos though, it might just work with Music for all I know, as that seems to have a different scanning/storing procedure, although they both use an .edb file for the databases.
The only real way to see is to test it out. Anyone interested

It works!!!
Here's how. (Special thanks to BobbyQ for providing the informations!)
1. Download CeRegEditor - free registry editor for PDA PocketPC WindowsCE WindowsMobile(WM)
2. Connect your phone to usb by ActiveSync mode
3. In CeRegEditor, click the connect button in the top-left hand corner
4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Meizu\Path
5. Change Music path to your server (eg. \\<computer name>\Songs )
6. Download Meizu Me - Downloads - vMouse 0.7
7. Copy cab file to your M8.
Now you can exit out of that and unplug the USB and close the registry editor.
8. Open the File Browser (Documents) and browse to where you save the cab file, install it.
9. Close Documents and open vMouse (The icon should be on the menu now).
10. Open Music
11. It will ask for password. Hold down vMoust until it turns blue, then drag finger to the top-right of vMouse to open the keyboard.
12. Type in username and password (usually the same as Windows username/password).
13. Refresh.
14. Once finished, close and open Music.
15. Thank BobbyQ
16. Enjoy networked music!

Another nice side use of accessing network paths with FileBrowser.exe is that I can manage my network media easily from the couch :-) that comes in handy especially when I am watching series on my network player and move the seen episodes into a "seen" folder. Even moving folders and deleting files is no problem with FileBrowser.exe !
Oh, and another cool thing is to easily copy something from the wireless network onto my M8 for the road. Works wonderfully and even pretty fast ! An 80 MB mp3 album took me 20 seconds to copy while sitting at the breakfast table :-)BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.
