Hi Dear all
I am working in Chinese company. 2 month later i saw one of my colleagues has phone like iphone. i asked him about his phone and tell him this fake iphone he start to explain his phone and mentioned all function. i was interest to know more about meizu so have started to search internet. i was found a lot of websites, posts, real videos, and overviews. finally i trust to meizu and ask one of my colleagues to by one meizu for me. during last month i read a lot and a lot and a lot.... i talk with everybody about meizu and i have been one of meizu's fans. everybody told me do not trust to Chinese mobile company but i told them meizu is really big company, has a lot of fans in the word, has SDK, ....
after two month finally today i receive my meizu M8 SE. i have turn it on and ask my colleagues to change language after the phone rebooted i was connecting to power because that alert me battery has 10% charge. after the charging was finished i start to this phone. at the first time it was really amazing for me very fast ,very user friendly, and,....
after some checking i leave meizu in my desk when i back to use that i was off
i pressed the power bottom but not work i removed the battery and install again and pressed the power bottom meizu turn on life in good. these problem repeat for 5 time after this problem solved during the usage of the phone, meizu hanged for 3 time in the last time the display scratched like Matrix background i remove the battery and install it again but in this time the meizu is deed. i was pressed the power bottom 100 time but the meizu is deed.
Yes really this problem happen in the first day i start to use meizu not in the long time. right now i am really sad because of my trust. i was paid to meizu but i buy useless phone. i was believe to meizu but...
i think if meizu want to seal his phone around the world, meizu should change his ways. thinks about customers thinks about their times is first point the world market.
finally i have one question:
Is there any QC department in meizu company?( i dont think so)

Thanked 56 Times in 24 PostsThats how to reset registry on SE,to install new fw,you need to press volume up button and the M button for a few seconds.

Saman does your computer recognize the phone when it is plugged in ?,if it does you need to put the latest official firmware (9.3.18) file on the root of the phone.
Then you need to press volume up button and the M button at the same time for a few seconds, then with some luck you will get a screen asking you if you want to install the latest FW..just follow the instructions and when it is installed reboot the phone..good luckLast edited by bolinao; 01-23-2010 at 09:10 PM.

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsTry to take out the battery, plug the USB cable in the M8. Does the PC notice anything?
If it does, download the latest official FW (0.9.3.18 ?) and place the XIP.bin in the root folder. Then try to enter upgrade mode! ...Press the volume button and power button at the same time (don't insert the battery)...
Check this one thing when you're doing all this. Does the screen light up or show anything when you're plugging in the USB? (With and/or without the battery inserted)

when powering on, press and hold the power button for a couple of seconds until you see the Meizu logo.

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsThis sucks for you. You have to send it back and wait another month before you can use this fantastic phone :/
I had a problem with my phone little over a month ago, where it wouldn't start.
I ended up with removing the battery -> plugging it into the computer and placing the newest official FW there -> enter upgrade mode right away, and it finally worked!
So I had to remove the battery, I was certain that the battery was damaged or something. But it works flawlessly today, so it must have been a retarded bug or something
Too bad for you though...

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsDid you leave the charger cable plugged in after the battery fully charged?
Since we have seen in the past issueīs when the phone gets "overcharged"..
thatīs indeed the best way to test if your battery isnīt dead, just power it witout battery while hooked on the pc.I had a problem with my phone little over a month ago, where it wouldn't start.
I ended up with removing the battery -> plugging it into the computer
but this is not good:If the above steps do not help leave the battery out for at least 48 hours , then try to boot without battery like JaffZe says, when still dead contact the seller for the raplacement procedure..i have another battery and i test with that the phone could not turn on.

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsI think Meizu prefer if people would contact their seller instead of contacting them directly. Unless they've told the sellers to send the costumers directly to Meizu of course. But I've noticed that many companies want their sellers to take in the broken products, that way everything is under a sort of control

But when there's a common problem with a device, some companies (ex Microsoft and their Xbox 360 with red ring) makes it possible for ordinary people to follow through with their own cases.
-Sorry, I'm tired and I feel like I'm writing very bad.. I don't think I will be able to understand what I have just written. Hopefully some of you do
Good luck, and hopefully it won't take long before you get a new M8
