Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAhh, hell, why no HDMI? It isnt too hard to do it, and in the time of HDTV's that would be the leading way to a proper tv-out.
I have a small Creative Vado HD recorder, and it has the old fashion AV jack output, and also has mini-HDMI (and they even packed the cable for it) so i can plug it to my HDTV any time.
If Meizu build their new phone with a monster cpu, why cant they pair it with the reasonable output?

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsdunno i think it is a budget cut, but a stupid one!
They could add a socket where you have hdmi, usb en audio output in 1, much more attractive and finally a more unique system that could place them on the map as the audio/video phone (and would bring audio docks, etc.. to meizu)... but it seems meizu is a hard learner ór JW his "ceo" skills aren´t that good yet!

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostThe problem is android works best with google applications and networks. if they are blocked in china (what could happen for example when I bought my meizu I could decide if I wonna have a proper bill where is written “meizu mobile phone” and no wifi enabled or I just take one where is not written “mobile phone” and wifi is enabled. it was interesting how much power the Chinese government got, that meizu didn’t want to sell them with enabled wifi ) the meizu would be less useful and so maybe less people would by it. But maybe you are right and it doesn’t matter and google stays in china, so meizu could use android. Whatever, I only hope the make a proper work with the M9 and also the firmware.

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsYes, they can, since Google is not as big in China as it is in the US/Europe. Chinese users have their own alternative for almost every American/European website, be it Google, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube,...For example Baidu, the Chinese equivalent to Google, is much more successful in China than Google, with a market share of more than 60%.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't want brand new M9
I want M8 with v 1.0 full working firmware, I want to install normal apps for Windows Mobile, I want panoramic keyboard as a standard in firmware... I don't want "new-in-some-distant-future-M9". Please - FINISH M8 first!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsand what about xenon flash late and GPS? it should be!
if Microsoft was going to make WM apps workable on Meizu, we need the same resolution 800x480!

Isn't that awesome?
The Meizu M8 is actually pretty similar with the iPhone 3GS, but the price... So much worth it. Isn't it?
And. I hope that someday Android (HTC) Sense will be ported to the Meizu M8... No, wait... The Meizu UI is to awesome. Keep it xD

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIn fact I hate the idea of more than 3 Mp camera in a phone.
I had a Benq-Siemens S88 phone with 2 Mp cam, 1600 x 1200 px (1,92M pix) and it was awesome for the price! The photo size was just about perfect for my needs back when I got it.
Think about it! Even 1920 x 1080 would be just slightly over 2M pix... I'd say that keep the camera at 2-3 Mp and enhance the lens.
More pixels wont help if you have crappy optics!
Maybe a small optical zoom would be also ideal, what about 1-2x or even 1-1.5x. It would definitely make a difference.
EDIT:
About the HDMI, put a Mini DP connector (DisplayPort) there and tada, no royalty fees for hdmi!Last edited by Janne; 01-27-2010 at 09:10 AM.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postslol
we all want that i think!
i am sure Meizu keeps the resolution to the one on m8 beeing compatible for it´s own software. It makes sense , not?we need the same resolution 800x480!
finally someone who understands what i was saying all along!Think about it! Even 1920 x 1080 would be just slightly over 2M pix... I'd say that keep the camera at 2-3 Mp and enhance the lens.
More pixels wont help if you have crappy optics!
Janne, i could be wrong but didn´t apple have a patent on it?Mini DP connector (DisplayPort) there and tada, no royalty fees for hdmi

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsHere's a picture showing the Meizu M9's design patent application:

Source: link - In the search field type in M9 and select the result with the number: CN200930066657.8
We can see the camera is now in the middle of the backside, and the headphone jack is down at the bottom next to the usb port. There are two volume buttons, which looks to be the same as on M8, the M button, and the power button which was aligned to the left on top of the device.
What could be the circle next to the earpiece? A front facing camera?

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsThanks N2KU, looks like they are going to use (almost) the same design as they used for the M8. I like it, maybe they have decided to use the money for the hardware/software instead of design. And I am happy about the volume buttons, they omitted them on the M8SE, didn't they?
