Meizu M8 3G or Google nexus one

Hey guy

I wanna know what you think about this phone compare to the future M8 3G?
Do you think that the Meizu M8 3G will beat the google phone?

At the moment there are just rumors about the M9 (M8 3G)..so, we can make a hypothetical hardware comparison only.
..and even that would be worthless, cause hardware and software are 2 different things, as the first M8 hardware was, at the released time, very very good and because of the software the M8 was beaten by many other phones, unfortunately!

If you want a 3G phone go with the Nexus-One. Even if the M8 3G/M9 turns out to be more than a rumour it won't even make an appearence for over 6 monthes.

If you have the money i would say the Nexus one, you will get English apps store and support outside of china

later u have the chance to change the M8 to a M9 but you have to pay a difference ... i read this in meizu forum

Probably not a big problem for users who live in China and can go to Meizu store directly...but for international users, who bought their M8 online, I suspect difficulties

Nexus One. It's doubtful the M8 3G will be more than an M8... with 3G. And it may not even support North American 3G.

The Nexus One, meanwhile, has an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a fast processor, loads of RAM and the most recent version of Android. That's hard to top unless you have the clout of a company like Apple.

You have to give credit to Meizu for the effort in its OS, but there's only so much that can be done in a given space of time!

I don´t see any way for upgrading from outside china, but then again i wouldn´t care : my girlfriend would be happy to receive my SE when buying a M8/M9 3G

well since the rumor is that apple will sell the new iphone soon one could be patient and buy this if you are willing to spend +500$

What i notice is that there is no phone or smartphone that have the good sound quality of M8 SE!
he is the best phone with good sound quality.
Until now i never heard better than M8SE

My vote goes to Nexus, but again it's costly than M8, meanwhile one thing I want to say that whatever good configuration you put on a mobile either it's 1 gb ram or 1ghz processor, it's worthless untill you don fine tune the S/W. it's just like putting a ferrari engine on a bullack cart, you have a powerfull engine but don't have the ability to fully utilize it.
meizu done a great job by putting the gr8 configuration but again they are unable to give a fully functional F/W even after 1yr. I agree that it's their 1st Mobile Phone, but then again If they were not sure about releasing a gud F/W. they should have outsourced it to some experienced company who could have given a better F/W and in backend meizu should have prepared their desired F/W so that they could have also finished their own F/W and the users never had to suffer so much.
Still Meizu didn't learn from their past 1 yr experience. Lots of promises, lots of planned enhancement but still F/W 1.0 is faaaar away in my opinion. In my suggestion they should release a fully functional F/W and then continue with enhancements.
And it's not all -ve about this phone, I think lots of +ve points also, Great speaker sound with a beautifull screen(High res). ya some screen problems are theit which are hopefully rectified
i agree that the sound of m8 is best i ever heared in a phone and I can say that I am another fan of M8 :-)

nota rumor anymore.. still i think google phone is better

If you have the money for a Nexus, buy the Nexus.
If you like to mod things on your phone, buy a Meizu.
If you want a reliable phone that works every time you want, buy a Nexus One.

I have 2 questions...
Who would win. iPhone 3G or Meizu M8SE?
And... Does the Meizu M8SE have WiFi?

You can´t compare that.. Apple is a big multinational, meizu a small company from china. Same with google, it is a multinational with more cashflow.
Then again the Nexus 1 is a brand new phone and the M8 series is allready a few years old...

in my opinion an Iphone is a very overrated toy that tries to re-invente the wheel all the time and limits the endusers making them feel like idiots that may not choose what they do with it. It´s a hype because of high fanboyisme... that´s all.
The N1 has decent spec´s but looks ugly like some cheap chinese clones and contains bugs in the os 2.1 (their own os!!) what is a shame since it widely adopted by many phone manufacturars and the most programming is been done for free for google by open source developers...
Considering all that Meizu does a pretty good job but needs to speed up their firmware development so they could focus on more important things that could gain them cashflow. Their hardware is ok, the looks too but the software is an other story.

I think, beeing honest there is just 1 decent smartphone out there atm, and once again it comes from and old solid phone builder called nokia.. the device is called N900. It´s a phone with potential and it shows us the future of phones too (it merges more to a normal pc..)

Apple is HUGE. Meizu is small(er).
Yes. The iPhone is so damn overrated!
But there is something with the Meizu M8...
I've looked at specs now....
Meizu's screen. 740x480 VS 480x320... So high resolution... xD
Both have WiFi.
Meizu has a better camera.
There's many more things... But there are 3 very important things...
1. The price. You can get the Meizu M8SE for less than 300 dollars!!!
2. Everybody has an iPhone... I want to be different... xD
3. The iPhone kinda sucks... Well, not really... But kinda...

And yes. The iPhone UI... The crappiest crap that ever crapped... The Meizu UI... The most awesome UI ever made!

By the way... Do you think that the iPhone would cost 800$ (ebay...) if a company like Meizu would do it? It's just the name "Apple iPhone 3Gs" that costs. You can get a better phone for less. Or maybe 2 Meizu M8:s (and a Meizu M6...) for that price...

Briefly... Apple is so overrated. That's why they can sell products for sky-high prices. Meizu still isn't that big. Internationally. That's why the price is that low. I love Meizu M8... It's Awesome! xD

- iPhone is vey cool !!..it´s just too expensive!!
- Nexus is not ugly at all ....and really incredible.
- never tried N900
- and the M9 will be really cool too!!

...so one cannot compare M8 to those phone, as it got old...

If you already compare these two devices is worth mentioning that M8SE play FLAC and APE, I do not know the second telephone in the market. And that M8SE has excellent sound quality, just hook up the better headphones. Also, never met another equally loud and exactly playing device. When the telephone play sound (ring tone or just listening to music) will be playing loud, detailed, and even heard a light bass.

I read somewhere that refurbish version of the M8 are better because they have better soldering and antenna is upgraded. Well my phone has not really had a problem. In fact, most of my phone problems have been software the hardware is solid to me. And, even though I don't have a lot of apps of a universal natural I still see this phone as advanced as I first did when I saw it in popular science magazine. My first though was that since this is Chinese phone it would have lots of technical stuff being that they have no copy right worries. But it's not the case.

I put in a cell phone antenna and that fixed my reception problems. But still they were never really bad. I have not read a lot about N1, I just wish Meizu would work on the M8 and forget M9 and up for now at least.

I think that more than 30000 users are looking forward to the M9 & FW 1.0 in China only...who knows about worldwide !!?
