Virtual private network

This mean that people can connect thru me to internet or it is some kind of connection together? My friend got some app where phone is used like a modem and other pc/notebook can connect thru him on net... have somebody this app?
And one more q. When I wanna connect to notebook my M8, it doesn´t note it,it doesn´t do anything, but on my pc or any other pc it works fine,where is problem? tnkx

If you want to know what "virtual private network" means, please google it. The rest of your question I did not fully understand.
Your M8 can't be used as a modem yet. Technically it is possible, but the firmware does not include it in the current version. About your connection problem I have no idea. Maybe your notebook is malconfigured or broken.

Do you want :
* Tethering to use the GPRS connection on your laptop/pc?
* VPN to connect the M8 with your corporate/private network?
* Sync the m8 through Bluetooth with you laptop/server?

Or you want a combination of them all? :-)

through usb, only pc recognize phone , notebooks didn´t notice anything...

so am i understanding that only 1 computer detects your m8?

not exactly, only home pc´s can detect it. My home, my girlfriedn´s and other this type,but notebook´s doesn´t. ex. home I create some file in powerpoint and wanted to copy it in teacher´s notebook,but I coudn´t, because it didn´t notice my phone through usb...
