M8 crazy shutdowns and others problems
Hi,
These last weeks my M8 was often shuting down by itself day or night, without any reason, and cannot turn it on anymore after, except with taking out the battery and puting back again.
This problem occurs only when i lock it.
The only solution i had for it is to put the autoblock on "never"
Others problems came after this like cannot receive SMS, cannot call some phone numbers...
For informations im living in china, and really want to u se my M8 at least as a phone ^^
Thx for your answers, i will try to go to meizu shop on next saturday.

Thanked 83 Times in 30 PostsIt was reported that the old M8 has some problems to deal with the low temperature. It has been confirmed by meizu(caused by the old battery). therefore, meizu has anounced a new free upgrade service for those who have the low temperature issues.
the free upgrade service includes:
1. upgrade the old 1200ma battery to 1300ma battery
2. upgrade the old antenna to new one
3. upgrade the FW to the last 0.9.3.9
if this is your case( the low temperature rebooting/shutting down), then, you can either go to the shop or send your phone back to factory directly.

the issue from the randomly shutdowns also sounds a bit like my issue i encountered.... problems with pcb i presume.

Thanked 9 Times in 5 PostsOh, I can go out and buy a new one since I'm currently in Shanghai, but I'm sad that I won't be able to take part in the FREE exchange.

Sorry for my late answer
I've been to the shop and the guy told me its a well-known issue, so they just sent back to the factory in Guangzhou where they will repair it.
I have no more explanations about that but ill ask next time when ill get my phone back.
