Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postswhat a coincident

I think that by the hacks we made in the porting project they were forced to do this.
lets see what happens between this and 2 months.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsgreat minds think alike

it is indeed a strange twist cause then we should see Meizu their name somewhere on the android homepages. Can't Believe It
If they launch android then they will be forced to launch all there sourcecode due the gpl(?)
So are they willing to opensource there new UI the invested in for free?
Ofcourse it could be an other os, but that would be stupid.

Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsIf they did it for themselef (if they really did) i think we gave them at least a good reason to hurry up :P
If its like that, it was worth the effort
P.S. has anyone ever seen a comertial product with dualboot? no! why?
Which company can afford to invest in two osses the same time...
So im unsure of this, i think its a hoax

has anyone ever seen a comertial product with dualboot?
hate to say yes:
SmartQ series from smartdevices.com can run Wince, Ubuntu and Android.
I thought the default os was Ubuntu , later they launched wince and android is still more user community based for now and at this point MEr(Maemo) is coming.
But even saying this i do understand your point.
Why would they invest at this point in the newest version from wince 6
if they would launch an opensource os.

Thanked 200 Times in 145 PostsThey could also just provide the absolute basics of the second OS they launch so that the userbase can work with that.
Maybe they could even take another Linux distro that is not Android and implement a Plugin that allows o run Andoid applications (i think something like that is available on Ubuntu) and declare the Kernel a closed source?
But until the day it is released i would concider this a rumor
and 'our' Mdroid is by far more then a rumor =)Meizu M8 SE - FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A11 Android 2.2

Thanked 173 Times in 72 Postsyeah right, like meizu was busy the whole time......
I would really like 2x os, dualboot is something that i have never seen on a phone. (smartq is not a phone
)
So Meizu can create some positive sounding name, instead of just that 'iphone rip-off' name they have now....
Meizu M8, the first dualboot phone, chose wince or chose Android, its up to you. Meizu, 'trying' to connect people.Ben je Nederlands?
Dan kan je ook gewoon in de Nederlandse sectie reageren en vragen: http://www.meizume.com/dutch
