All,
Finally found how to fix the settings to properly sync your calendar from outlook to M8!
Download the application pack (can be found on this forum)
Start the application called "system"
It shows a similar screen when using "control panel" in windows on your pc
now, double click "date & time"
change the timezone here, be sure that the timezone used is similar as the timezone used in the original system of the M8 using "settings"
Now more important:
When you use active sync, you can select or deselect :
synchronize time settings upon connection, turn this setting OFF!
I've made a proper sync with my calender now.
I'll test with my work laptop later, 'cause here are the most important calendar items which i'd like to sync.
info will follow, but at least you need the application pack to fix this setting properly!

outlook sync works since 0.9.0xxxx ?! The only thing you have to do is to set your time-settings in the system-settings on your M8 ?!
i don´t really get your way to make it...is it more easy or what?!?get a Nexus and be happy...

It's not working without the additional program pack posted in this forum.
I'm dutch so region should be Amsterdam (netherlands) and for somewhat reason I couldn't get active sync working properly as the timezone was still beijing so all my calander items were 7.5 hrs later showing in my M8 than in my calander on my laptop.
I changed timezone with the application added in the program pack posted here, and I changed it in my M8 to the correct region.
So I couldn't get it to sync properly before, but with the additional software it worked like a charm.
I ran through all forums available (spending a day or 2) tried every setting in the original software straight from the box, and thus far no joy.
Finally got it to work and I'm running SV: 0.9.3.7
I found it useful as nobody on this forum got this simple fix for the sync issues I faced and I hope someone else can use this as well.

Thanked 4 Times in 4 PostsYou don't need to download the program pack. Just use the file browser and navigate to \window\control.exe
There you have the time settings.
The App. System is only adding an shortcut and a icon.
