    WAPI/WIFI none are working

hi guys, i think i have problems with my wifi, firstly i don't understand what is the white button in the bottom-center that says WAPI or WIFI cause the other characters are in Chinese.

second, no matter under what mode i am even when i have big list of wifi connections and some are with good signals i can almost never get connected to the internet....

i have the phone for 3 weeks and i only was able to connect twice

is there a way to improve the wifi signal, or maybe i'm doing something wrong ?

all in all i really love this phone, its just great it only miss good stable internet connection to make it perfect to my needs.

please help me if you know anything about it..

    best regards,

    Moti.

after that answer i guess you haven´t cracked the wifi function.
please have a look at your disk-folder (file explorer) if there is a file named M8Cracker.exe
run this one, restart the phone and try it again...

if that file is missing use the search function on meizume.com and download it!!
    or use M8SPRITE !!

    fw - FirmWare - SETTINGS / ABOUT
oldschool or SE - just a joke...this means first and Second-Edition
get a Nexus and be happy...

Try going into the wifi connection's settings (press the little arrow next to the connection's name), and set the connection mode to Auto or Closed and see if it helps the problem. Is the hotspot you're trying to connect yours? If it's not it's possible that is has MAC filtering enabled and that's why you can't surf.

what the f**k? is the HTC automatically hacking the key...or what? would be great to have for M8 too?!?!

Serious: Do you have the WPA-Key or whatever it is? Have you set your connection with that key?

    Wait a sec.
The M8SE has legal WAPI, not?
So you don't have to enable it? (Right?)
Maybe your wifi chip rs broken.

And what do you mean by getting a signal?
You mean the 'telephone' signal or the WiFi signal?

    Guys,
i hade this message alot with my normal m8 when wifi signal is low.
And it has no use to apply the wifi hack on the SE since it supports wifi by default in firmware 0937(?)

    Now to troubleshoot this issue:
    * is this your home wifi connection?
    * what encryption do you use? None - wep -...?
    * How many 'bars' do you see in reception icon of this wifi network
    * did you use static or dhcp to provide the ip
    * You can connect to the wifi and not browse or can not connect at all?

    edit:
like informed by snoop 69 try to make screenshots of the menu with chinese icons, then someone can translate it for you.
I thought taking screenshots was power + M key?

Well i test it again now, my wife diamond HTC is connecting easily to the same connection i'm trying to connect but failing.

i CAN connect ( i think ) but i can't surf, i also used meizu test software and when i test the wifi i get message "can't find device"
    here some SS:

Edit: I did surfed twice since i bought the phone, but i can't connect to the net for few days now, it maybe can be caused but some program i installed? maybe M8Spirte trying to Crack it while the the second edition doesn't need to be cracked?

M8Spirte trying to Crack it while the the second edition doesn't need to be cracked
if your issue occured after installing the app..mostlikely!
Try toy do a backup, format /disk, full reset through the menu, reset the registry, and do an upgrade to the original deilverd firmware.
boot the device and try immediatly to connect.
I also would like to suggest to be close next to you wifi router/ap while testing it.

The last screen shows clearly the lak of wireless signal.

when i test the wifi i get message "can't find device"
if the app is designed for M8 not se that sounds obvious

could you also try to answer my other questions?

Hi evow04, thank you for your help

    * is this your home wifi connection?

    - No, But as i wrote my wife phone connect to those connections easily, so their not blocked.

    * what encryption do you use? None - wep -...?
    - I'm not sure what you mean, i didn't changed the original setting of the phoen.

    * How many 'bars' do you see in reception icon of this wifi network

    - when i have connection list some of them full some of them empty, but not matter what connection i choose after i connected and exit the wifi setting window, the signal bar on the top of my phone is always empty.

    * did you use static or dhcp to provide the ip

    - i believe i use static, i'll upload another screeny

    * You can connect to the wifi and not browse or can not connect at all?

it show me that "selected" circle next to the connection so i think that means i'm connected, but i can't browse and can't use flvShow program.

    --------------------

Now here is a screeny of the dhcp / static screen of the connection after i am connected it should be like that ?

    FreeImageHosting.net Hosting Service

and please what is the button in the bottom of that screen? i have two modes, WAPI and Wifi in what mode i should try to connect (i tried both, and i unable to connect in both of them) after i choose to change a mode the phone makes restart.
    screenie:

    FreeImageHosting.net Hosting Service

one more thing, can you please explain to me step by step how to make
    format /disk
    full reset through the menu
    reset the registry?

btw if that helps, i also translated the phone to my language

    Thanks and Best Regards.

Change it to DHCP, I believe that's causing your problems. And you should probably use Wifi as it's more common, and I don't think your wife's HTC supports Wapi.

Look up "Meizu M8 FAQ" in the forums to find answers to your last questions!
