M6SL no left right

the player seems to be working fine as it boots and i can scroll through the menus but cannot hit left right arrow to drill into or out of menus.


HOWEVER, the buttons DO seem to work when powering up as i can trigger a hard reset or format using the play+left or play+right and that does work. I also can hear clicking when i press the right button to get into a menu item but nothing happens.

so far ive tried

1 hard reset
2 several different firmware options
3 dfu tools reset

all get me to the same point where i am up and running but only up down work. IDEAS?

to "drill into" you have to tap in the middle and use m-bitton to get out of current menu section.

Yes you cannot use the >> or << to go through menu's.

The << and >> will only work in some few tasks, like when you example viewing your music library you can by >> scroll very quickly to the middle or end of the list. Also when you work with the EQ, radio and games (just to note a few) you use them to navigate but not when you are at the main menu.
Your player is just fine. perhaps just you that missed something out about the navigation.

just tap the pad, don't PRESS the button. Took me a bit to figure that out, i was just hammering away on it to no avail.
