Expecting it to arrive next week. I decided not to wait for the 8GB version because I need it for a trip, and there is no telling how long the wait will be. I wonder if I made the right decision.
Should I be looking to update the firmware right away? Any suggestions from senior members of the forum?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI too couldn't wait, and bought a 4GB yesterday. I'm pretty sure that we both made a good decision. I came from an iRiver 799fpt, and somehow the sound on that did not satisfy me, and the sound from my computer/Audigy 2ZS sounded better.
I plan on updating the firmware, but before I do that I would play around with the current firmware and get a feel of how it is before updating.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell, since you already bought your M6, what we say now is useless. But if I were you, I would've stayed and waited for the 8GB version. You can put a lot more data on it, which is an added bonus.
As for firmware, do that when you actually get your player. Use the firmware that comes with your player first and see what you like about it. Then switch to the newest firmware, and try that. Tell us which one you like and discuss it in the Firmware section!Meizu M8 MiniOne
