The Black Meizu M6 SL 8GB Questions

Hello
In 3 days im going to buy one of the last black meizu m6 SL 8GB that in my country
I got some questions to ask you about the device and all, so lets start

1. I found out that there is a little speaker that you can add to a MP4 like Meizu M6
i think i will buy one how is it as a speaker?

2. I got 2 USB wall chargers in my home, one that says 5V-800mAh and one that says 5V-1.0A
I tought to use the 1.0A, its baisacly mine so...
Im afraid that the battary of the M6 will be destroyed, will it be safe to use?

3. In my country, Israel, we got a Hebrew firmware from ‎02‎/‎19‎/‎2008 (Maby 2004.5?), but i saw that the newst one is from 2009, the 2004.7, if i will download the 2004.7 firmware, the menus will still be in hebrew or i will not be able to see them as hebrew any more, and will the song that there names in hebrew will be also unavailable?

4. I didnt understand, do i need to copy the 2 files of the frimware to the meizu m6 at the same time to upgrade is of first the first file, then turn off and then the second file?

Hi,

1. Don't know, but i wouldn't expect too much from such a small speaker.

2. If it is a quality charger with the correct specs, it should be no problem.

3. The language (and skin) is determined through the 'resource.bin' - resources for 2.004.5/6 can be used for FW 2.004.6.
They will not work with 2.004.7 (which is not recommended from what i've read here).

4. You can copy both files to the root of your player.
The player might be formatted during the update- if so, you'll have to copy the 'resource.bin' to the M6 again.

2. It dont says if the charger in 300mAh or above, it says 1A and 5V, but i gess it more that only 300mAh, my Bro has one with 800mAh

I got the Meizu M6 SL 8GB Black player today!
I found out the the heb ver. is a 2004.4, so there is no way to combine the 2004.4 with the 2004.6, and i cant find any skins for the 2004.4
what should i do?

combine the 2004.4 with the 2004.6? I can't understand, maybe my English is too bad. If you want to use 2.004.6 skin in your player, you'd better update your firmware to 2.004.6

Even if the Hebrew "resource.bin" was for 2.004.6 you would lose the language with a different skin.
If you want to use a skin with your desired language, you'll have to change the language yourself.
You can do this with the resource editor, but it's a lot of work.

Yes, language is belonging to "resource.bin", Only the first option language would not display a garbled message. If your language is English, you can use my last skin——"teppei".

Hey all!
Thank you for all the replys
i was up allnight till 4:00 AM trying to move a movie (Sweeny Todd) to the Meizu M6, i tried it all (VirtualDub, MZvideo conventor, Batman and so on...)
I found out that the best software to use is The Batman, The video is perfect with the software, and run pearfectly with no heekups!
The album cover thingy is a pain in the a** but i managed to get it right!

Also, you cannot buy any more silicon cases to this player in my country, and the Meizu M6 SL box dosent contain any pouch, neckstrep or cleaning cloth, so i took a cleaning cloth from my old case of glasses, took a neckstrep of my genric MP4 that was broken, and a pouch from a genric cemera, now i have it all!
I can tell you that getting the necstrep to the player is a pain in the a**

About the language, well, there is no way im giving up the Hebrew, finally when i have an hebrew on a pleyer, i wont give up.
so yes, its 2004.4, but i guss there is not a big diffrence between the 2004.4 and the 2004.6.
I think i will be able to live without the skins

The adding language process, can you tell me more about it? someone even done that? is it that hard?

Add a new language in Resource is very hard and difficult. Only "MiniBox Professional" can do it eazily. If you need Hebrew. You can contact me and I can make one for you.

can you tell me how can i do that?
somthing very wired happend, i used the recors editor 1.2.2 and on the 2004.6 frimware that i dounload in meizume langugh 9 is hebrew! but i cant choose it on the player, how i make it to be choosable?

and what should i edit? the 2004.7 or 2004.6?

Only the languages in the first, second and sixth row are accessable in the M6 menu.
You'll have to copy and paste each word / phrase one by one to have a complete Hebrew menu.
I use the resource editor 1.0.1 for this, but it takes some time.

Too bad that there is no English version of "MiniBox Professional".

Lol . You guys said that changing the language is sooooo hard!, done that in less then half an hour, and i had no experience what so ever.
Well, like i said, i done that and it wasn't hard, just a bit annoying.

i translated the 2004.6 ver, but i think i need to upgrade to the 2004.7 no?
its the newest frimware, what is the diffrence between the 2004.6 and 2004.7? what is better?

Minibox is produced by a Chinese man, so it only contain Chinses.
If you download a Minibox from the Internet, it's a general version. If you use this version to change language, that is a very very hard work, just as the "resource editor".
But I've got a Professional version from the creator (Include a licence, but the licence is up to your computer, if your computer changed, this licence will fail). Using the professional version to change language is very very eazy.
Now I made a Hebrew Resource for you. It's for 2.004.6 And the font in it is original (cause I didn't make all the fonts, such as "ü" could not display correctly)

Maybe that's the case for Chinese language, but for western languages (like German) only the language in the sixth column will display special characters (like "ä,ö,ü") correctly - not only in ID3Tags, but also in text files.

That's what i think, but i cannot understand this kind if policy. It's not so long ago since they introduced the SL model and they should continue to improve the firmware (there are still some bugs).
I know that this is because they spend all their time and money in the development of the M8, but they should not forget their former customers.

M6 was produced by the year of 2005, after that, Meizu company updated some hardware of it, so that there are TP SP SL versions. In fact, they are almost the same. Not only functions are same but also appearance.
Just as the older products that made by Meizu such as E3C/ E3 / X6... ... After M6 is published, Meizu stop improve their firmware too.
It seems to me that after M9 come out, Meizu would stop developing M8 too.

Meizu Gave me the offical 2004.6 Hebrew Version, wierd that they didnt gave it to anyone.

well, i spoke with meizu, im still beggin them to make the 2004.8 frimware.

in the BBS they told me:

您好，我们目前还没有提供2.004.8的固件，请您告知机器的SN号，谢谢！

Hello, we currently do not provide the firmware 2.004.8, please inform your machine No. SN, thank you!

And in the emails (that for now only the english meizu answared me that here is no planning to releas the 2004.7.
