    Can't add music to M6

I bought a Meizu M6 in February which has been working. It has almost reached it's 2gb capacity (only 3.7 mb free) so I connected it to a PC and deleted some music using Explorer. I updated the library on the Meizu but when I reconnect it to my PC and click properties it still only shows 3.7 mb free and won't let me transfer music because there isn't room. When I click 'system info' on the player it also shows only 3.7mb free.

What should I do? Should I reformat the player?

This might be silly, but is your Recycle Bin enabled? Try emptying it.

No idea, that's why I said it might be silly
Formating seems like a good solution...

Try deleting some files using the player's built in browser, and then plug it into your PC. That might work. If not, try a firmware update.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

I deleted some songs using the player's built in browser, and now it shows that much more memory free so that works. But that is a tedious way to delete a lot of music so I would rather be able to use Explorer like I used to. I will try a firmware update. Currently, my player says it has version 1.010.3 and I see newer versions are available. But the firmware appears to be for 3 different models: Meizu MiniPlayer M6SL, M6SP, and M6TP. How can I tell which model I have?

You can either go to Settings-> About, or look on the back for your serial number.

The two second letters will tell you which model you have. The firmware can be found in the M6 Resources link in my signature.

My serial number says I have an SP M6 thanks. I downloaded the latest firmware from your signature,SP 2.004.6, but it is a RAR file. I see this is a compressed file so how would I decompress it with Windows XP? I downloaded the free wrar380.exe from the win-rar.com site. Is that a good decompresser?

WinRAR works fine. Make sure you save any files you need from the player now, as with pretty much any gadget, if anything goes wrong, you may lose your data. To update the firmware, follow mbarry's guide:

Take the two files that you have just downloaded, most likely a M6.ebn (M6SL.ebn for SL players) and a Resource.bin, and drag them into your players drive in My Computer. Safely Remove your player. Restart your player.

Your player's screen will flash white, or stay on a steady white. Don't worry, your player isn't toast, it just shows that screen. Put your player down and don't touch it for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes your player should have shut off by itself, and you can now restart your player.

Actually, I believe that if you are updating from a 1.XXX.X firmware, your Data will be erased for certain, so as JkPwNsTeR has mentioned, back up all your songs.

I backed up my songs and installed the firmware using the instructions in the FAQ Meizu Me - FAQ: Meizu Mini Player M6 FAQ. It displayed “Upgrading Software Please wait...” then turned itself off. But when I turn it on again it shows a green screen that says:

"No Resource! Please Upgrade Resource Again!"

Do I need to do the same firmware update process again? Why?

The green screen means formatting - so you have to copy the "resource.bin" to the root of your player again.

The first part of the firmware (M6.EBN) is already installed.

I copied the "resource.bin" to the root of my player again. When I disconnected it from the PC the screen went black. The player will not power on. I connected it to the PC again and nothing happens. The player seems dead.

I updated to SP 2.004.6 which I found in the M6 Resources link in JkPwNsTeR's signature. My player says it is in SP. Was that the right firmware? I do not see any firmware links in mbarry's signature.
