Quick question about the clear protective plastic film covers that come with the M6 on the front and back to protect it from scratches. I've had my M6 for over a year, it's had quite heavy use and now the plastic covers themselves are very scratched/marked and starting to come off. I want to know if it causes any damage or other problems to just take them off, obvously it would be unprotected but at this stage I'm not worried about that.
Also while I'm here, the scroll bar is starting to become less reliable, especially in high humidity. I doubt there's anything I can do about this, it just comes from a year of heavy use but please let me know if there are any suggestions.
Thanks.Last edited by SegaFan; 04-30-2009 at 09:34 AM.

Never go unprotected ... ;-)
There's nothing you can do about the touch strip, I do have the same problem. These devices are miniaturized high-tec toys, and not created for eternity.
In 10 years, we have 100 terabyte players with wireless direct brain input anyway. So who cares ..
Btw, I recommend using the crystal case for protection.BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAgreed. Although I want it to last as long as possible, I wouldn't be too disappointed if it broke completely at this stage, with the amount I've used it I'm quite satisfied with how durable it's been. In fact if it stopped working tomorrow, I'd shop around a bit first but I'd definitely consider getting another one the same.
I don't really want to buy a new case for a year old device, but I do really want to get rid of those covers because they look awful in the state they're in. What I want to know is would it cause any immediate serious damage if I removed them, or is it just that it would be more prone to damage/scratches in the long run?

Thanked 19 Times in 19 PostsIMO the crystal case will be the best for you.
Replacing the films will be mostly a pain and will never be like that well from the beginning but is another choice out there.
It's will be sad just remove them and then leave it all unprotected, because if you get scratches on your player you will never be able to get rid of it again and I really believe that the player is way more prone to any damage without the protective films.
Use a case and let that be scratched.Last edited by MeiVincible; 05-01-2009 at 03:09 PM. Reason: missing word "be"
