M6 video is darker after latest firmware upgrade

I have the Meizu M6 SL version with the 2.004.6 firmware upgrade (or at least the one that give FM/Tuner to the SL). Anyways, I've noticed that all my videos are considerable darker. Its not the brightness (setting: 100). I did not add any new skins or anything. Btw, im using the stock video converter that comes with it since the BatMan one is incredibly slower to convert for me (maybe its the settings i use but thats another thing).
Recap: all converted videos on M6 SL are darker with 2.004.6 firmware as opposed to the 2.003.6 firmware. brightness setting on full, background blend 0, no new skins.

PS: I've looked everywhere but I cant find anyone with the same problem.

I've never met anyone with this problem before... Try downgrading your firmware to 2.004.5, and if that doesn't solve it, try an even lower version. You can find the firmware in the M6 resource link in my signature.

If a firmware downgrade doesn't solve the problem, there might be a problem with the screen or a processor.

upgrade to the latest firmware is not recommended by users of this forum. Meizu only released it because they needed to support the new hardware built into the 2nd version of the M6SL. Nothing was improved. Maybe they had to modify the video playback brightness to match a brighter display.

Yeah, somewhat like that.
For make it clear, the latest Meizu firmware (SL) is 2.004.7
I did earlier myself complain about brightness issues with this version, not only video but everything!
To be sure I did try out that one again and I can barely see the text when the player is updating. Everything is very dark and unrealistic.

I hope you mean 2.004.7 and not 2.004.6. At least 2004.6 are working nice in my case. Otherwise try re-install the firmware.
Go “Settings->About” and find out what exactly version you did put on your player.

Since we didn’t really find any much useful things in the latest firmware I suggest downgrade to 2.004.6

I do not have a source for you, sorry. As far as I remember, Meizu started to produce the 2nd generation of the SL somewhen in December 2008. I think that they ran out of displays, and had to switch to another manufacturer. After that they needed a new display controller and so on .. who knows what else has changed.
You might identify the generation by the serial number somehow.

I did noticed a darker screen when I changed from 2.004.6 to 2.004.7.
Indeed the difference was noticeable. BTW upgrading was a bit different than I expect as it didn't format the player.
Later for other reason I did have to do a format of the player (start + <<).
I did reinstall 2.004.7 and since then I think that screen is pretty normal... clear as usual... of course all the brightness settings as it comes by default (60% - 100 %) now with 100% 100% is even clear.
