    Hi,

It is the black SP version.
But during a transfert, my M6 is shutting down.
Now, when i press power on button there is no action (no flash light). I try the hard reboot ( holded >> and press power on) and there is no action.
When i plug my mini player on pc, it is charging (the screen display the battery) so i hope that the screen isn't died.
Is someone can help me please ?

So I press the enter key about 5 or 6 min and there is no screen flash. Maybe I have a problem with my battery. How can i test it ? But it's only an assumption. I know that all the buttons are ok because when the mini player is charging, when i press the keys, there is the little sound for each one.
When i plug my mini player on my computer, holding forward and power on buttons, there is a little screen flash but nothing else...
Please help me because I'm so sad whereas i think it's a little problem (no hardware problem except perhaps the battery)...
If i can avoid to return my mini player...
Another question : it's possible to change my firmware whereas my player is in this state ?

    Thanks you for your help.

I had teh same problem at first

for me a factory reset worked but most ppl do the factory reset wrong
    here in short steps:

    1) press and HOLD the FF button
    2) Press and HOLD the powerbuttton untill the unit powers on
    3) Keep that FF pressed for 15-20 seconds

a yewllow/green green will appear saying your Meizu is formatting
After that... the player should be in its original state again and should work

Also, are you sure yourplayer shuts down during transfer and doesnt just turn of teh screen?
If it shuts down during transfer try using another USB port.
My computer has one USB port that doesnt seem to power external stuff well...

    just suggestions!
    goodluck with it!

I try the hard reboot but i have the same problem. On the step 2 as Job describes, even if i press FF and enter keys, my mini player don't want to start. I give up to press keys after 2 min. So i never see the little screen flash.

About USB port, i think there is no problem because i can charge my mini and i can see the icon on the screen while it was plugged in my pc.

Thanks Job for your suggestions and i would be happy if you would made anothers.

    hmmm thats odd..

so the miniplayer doesnt power n AT ALL unless its plugged into the PC?
how about connecting it to the PC and then trying the reset?

just going out on a limb here though...

ps: You dont have the Hold Button on right? :P

Was this just a typo? Or did you mean that you pressed FF and power keys? If you look at step 2, you'll see that you need to press FF and the power key -- not the enter key.

I'm sorry, it's a careless mistake but i press power on button with FF one to hard reset my player... This problem is really hopeless.

    Thanks for your help.

There is an improvement : i manage to hard reset my player... Holding FF and power on keys, i plug in my computer with USB cable and the yellow screen appairs (Formatting, please wait). Now the language of my player change into chinese (perhaps!) because when it is in charging mode, i see the battery icon but an "asiatic" text... But when i disconnect USB cable, i can't start my player. Now, i am in the same state that i was before the hard reset...
    Don't you think i have a battery problem ?
I think it's not drain because when i plug the usb cable, it's full in less than 1 hour...
What do you suggest now ?

try to do a hard reset again... this time when you have the player connected try to load firmware files again.

Are you sure you uploaded the right version of firmware, i mean for SP, i've heard about a guy who uploaded wrong firmware and had to return player.

But when i am connected, i can't load anything because my computer doesn't see that's the player is connected.
Next when i try an another keys combo before connecting on my computer, i made a "low level formatting". Do you think it's a mistake ?
Now when i connected the player with pc, i have only a grey strip on the screen...

Another precision. I don't upload a firmware, it was the default firmware which is activate in my player... So i think it's the SP one...

Well, did you format to NTFS or FAT32?

Which model do you have SP or TP?
check at your Miniplayer's box, if it has a SP label... it is obviously a SP.

I have an SP model... I formated my player with the keys combo (<< RW + power on)... There is a message on the screen which said "low level formatting"... So i don't know if it was a NTFS or FAT32 format...

Weird, never saw that message before. I've heard similar problems with SP models, but this kind of things happens when you load a TP version of firmware, and most of them have to be returned

A Low-Level formating is a complete rewrite of the tracks and sectors on the memory chip. This is generally done at factory level for brand new chips to prepare them for data storage.

As Aldo09 said the << RW + PowerOn button will do a Low-Level format in Fat32, at least on the SP version.

I had a similar problem with my first TP. The only display was during charging. It acted like the screen was shut off to conserve battery but the battery was fully charged and it would play for 17 hrs. In all other ways it behaved normally just without a display. I was able to force the display on. You may notice that with the player off when you plug the usb cable in for charging there is a brief flash which occurs before the cable is fully inserted. By repeatedly attempting to power on in time with that flash by pushing the usb cable in and out half way and pressing the power button at the same time, it would eventually power up with the display on. Reloading different firmware or any button reset including return to factory default did not resolve the problem. With time it became more difficult to force the display on and I had to exchange the player.
