Manipulate touchpad to use with gloves or similar

I am using my Meizu for cycling, however making it louder with gloves or through the jacket does not work, because of the touchpad, which is only sensitive to skin.
I figured out, that lubricate the touchpad makes it possible to use it with gloves.
However, has anyone experienced the use of some scotch-tape to perform this task?

Anything that insulates should work, so scotch tape should work. Pacaging tape has worked for me, which is basically the same thing.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Not lubricate the touchpad but the inner side of the clothes. This has worked somehow (but not for very long).
