What if I'm left handed?
I was initially captivated by the m6 - the high-quality LCD, the price, the design. But as I was viewing a video review of the player, the thought struck me - how would be I be able to use this easily if I'm left handed?
Any other lefties using it?Last edited by anarkii; 02-24-2007 at 10:46 PM.

I would say its quite hard to use your left hand to control the meizu m6. Possible, but hard. Basically there are 2 ways (that I know of) to control your meizu, one is using your thumb, the other is using your index finger.
Seeing as how the screen would be blocking you from using your thumb, you'd have to be using your left index finger. Now thats easy to do, but inconvienient as you'd be blocking the screen whilst touching the touchpad. In my opinion, the Meizu is really for right handed people, unless someone has some inventive way of using it with their left hand. :DCurrent Rigs:
8GB iAudio 7 > Not in use
4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

Left handed here too. It's not as hard as it seems. It just takes a couple of hourse to figure out how to use it properly.
Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

When I was reading a (p)review for the M6 a while back it said that you could change the settings for a left-hander and just turn it around and it would work for a lefty. Good thing I'm not a lefty because I think I would have boughten it ASAP based around that.
I'd say just try and get used to using your right thumb, might take some time to get used to but I think it's worth it.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsLefty here, and I just use control it pretty easily with my right thumb. Just fiddle with the thing and you get used to it, like typing or riding a bicycle.
Not typing while riding a bicycle though...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFirmware could fix it by flipping display upside down and swapping M and ENTER keys and touch pad direction.
Key pad graphics would not match any more but Im sure lefties would not mind too much to get left hand version.
