Hi all,
Let me explain what's happening. For about two weeks now the music skips on my M6SL, not only at the end of the songs but also throughout the songs, like a scratched CD. After a crash (green screen - no resources, etc) I had installed firmware 2.004.6, and then the problems sort of started not too long after. I have just reinstalled firmware version 2.004.3, but the problem is still there. It is not a fault of my headphones cables. What could it be???
Thank in advance for your help.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsall songs or just a few in particular; also what format mp3?
if it's a file problem they are easily checked with a tool to test for errors in MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack & Monkey's Audio files found here vuplayer.com called oddly enough audiotester.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostHi kikigarel! First of all welcome to MeizuMe.
Can you say how often does this happen? There is a known bug that causes songs to play very slow and with an annoying skipping effect right from the start, but it's very rare. For example, I have my M6 since more than one year now, and only experienced it about 5 times. Usually it goes away if you just skip to the next song and then back to the one you want to listen to.
If you are experiencing this more often, then it might be something else. In that case, it could be a problem with your music files, so try ri_toast's suggestion above.
If this still doesn't help, the only advice I can offer is for you to try formatting your player, update the firmware once again, and reupload your music files... maybe someone else has another suggestion?Last edited by Traps; 02-13-2009 at 10:35 AM. Reason: typos and cleanup ;)

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi,
Thanks for your replies. The MP3 files are fine, they are the same I was playing before without any problem. I have already reformatted and tried different firmwares to no avail. The problem is still there and happens with all MP3 files (128 to 256 kps, CBR & VBR). It all started about two weeks ago and happens al the time now, as if there were microgaps or microskips, pretty annoying. To make sure it was not due to the files (bad extraction for instance), I have tried to rewind and replay the part of the file that skipped, and it didn't skip. So the problem is due to the player. Could there be a mechanical problem???
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanked 19 Times in 19 PostsI experience this problem too sometimes since I got my SL.
I mostly repair my MP3 files before I transfer them but it doesn’t seem to have any connection with that.
It just appears sometimes when I let the player finish a song and it’s just happen randomly. I think it’s another bug with the player. Like the well known stutter issue I have no idea how to solve it completely but skip to the next song and then back always help a bit on it.Last edited by MeiVincible; 02-22-2009 at 10:41 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI've got the same problem too, but it happens only with a few MP3 files. It's really pretty annoying and bad thing is, that it happens with video too
