Alright, well I've owned my M6sl for about a year now and have the latest firmware currently installed.
So today I was listening to my player as normal when I dropped it on the ground from the table. Well this is usually no big deal, I've dropped it many times before, it has a case, but when I picked it up today the player had shut off. So I turned it back on and it updated the music library.
I though nothing of this until later on, I though about what happened and slapped my M6 player. To my surprise it shut off, I turned it back on and it started updating.
So it seems that whenever my player it hit, it turns off, but other than that it plays just the same.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this? I realize it's probably a hardware problem of some kind, so if there anything someone might suggest?

You know ... Protoman .. it might not be a hardware problem at all, but I'm not sure about that. I don't own a M6SL myself, but I think you could have broken something inside the device by dropping it all those times.

I have dropped mine several times too and it does not do that (yet
). I think you might have caused a loose connection. Probably between something heavier like the battery and something lighter like the circuit board, as they will have different momentums on impact.....

I bet one of the battery contacts have come loose, and when you slap it, you cause the battery to short. Try not to drop it or slap it anymore, as you could cause the contact to completely fall off.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
